Jul 10 2009'Maverick' Duo Reteaming for Sexual Innuendo-Titled Film
Once again flexing the muscle she used in Little Man Tate, Home for the Holidays, and an episode of Tales from the Darkside, Jodie Foster will be directing The Beaver, the much-hyped, high-concept script about a man who wears a beaver puppet for comfort, with Mel Gibson starring. From Variety:
Mel Gibson will star in "The Beaver" for director Jodie Foster. The script, written by Kyle Killen, topped the Blacklist in December.
Gibson will play a depressed man who finds solace in wearing a beaver hand-puppet. On top of helming, Foster will play the role of the man’s wife.
Jodie Foster and Mel Gibson together in a movie and it's not for the Maverick sequel that was virtually promised to the legions of fans at the conclusion of the first film? Mom, Dad: don't go out for dinner together if you aren't getting re-married. It gives us kids false hopes.

@6 i couldn't even pay attention to the rest of the article because i rushed over to my copy of Home for the Holidays to make absolutely certain Jodi wasn't stuck in somewhere i didn't realize. Poor Holly, where's her credit? Where's her sexual innuendo titled film?

I believe it's meant in the article that Foster directed "Tate" and "Holidays", which she did. :-)
