Jun 2 2009See How the Moon Factors Into 'Moon'

moon-lunar-industries.jpg

In this new clip from Moon, you'll briefly learn how, in Duncan Jones's futuristic sci-fi tale, technologies allow massive amounts of energy to be harvested and used to supply power to Earth's many plug-innable things. As the title implies, the moon is involved.

It's more interesting than it sounds:

So 70% of Earth's energy is supplied by Sam Rockwell running on a lunar treadmill? I didn't really pay attention.

I wanted to see this, then the guy who posted here ruined the twist. :(

Is the twist that Duncan Jones = Zowie Bowie, and the film ends with an invasion of spiders...

from mars?

No. He's gay.

Sooooo... the movie is about Sam Rockwell defending our precious moon ore from fundamentalist gay spiders if I gather this correctly?

This movie is gonna ownnnnnn!!!

This movie is great! I was lucky enough to see it at SIFF... one of the best sci-fi films in years.

The moon rules

When you are the moon, there is a person people say is the sun. I saw the sun once, and he came past me, really fast. And it was an... it was called... the... an eclipse. And he came fast! But as he came past, I... I licked his back.

And he doesn't know I licked his back! All in his yellow suit!... I'm the moon.

This looks interesting to me.The moon has always been a mystery to mankind and still is.

The Moon Rulez! #1

Quite possibly the dumbest trailer I've ever seen. The other trailers make the movie look so much better. And bacon.

That's no moon... it's a bacon station!

I don't know what everyone is all excited about?

Fusion Power...70% of the Earth's energy
Pfftth... Just more juice to power the Robot Apocalypse...

We are all doomed I tell you....DOOMED!

Great Movie. Absolutely brilliant!

@15

So... the robot apocalypse is still on?

Sweet!

what got spoiled? it seems like there are so many pieces to this puzzle of a story, that you have to go and see the entire movie... if that wasn't so hard to do, since it only plays in a handful of theaters.

i appreciated the clip of (part of the) title credits, though.

thanks.
