Jun 1 2009'New Moon' Trailer, Girls
It's Bella's birthday, and you know what that means: time for the annual kiss from her undead boyfriend! It's every girl's dream; the perfect birthday--someone even bought her an intricately decorated cake from a Food Network contest! But when Bella experiences the most dramatic paper cut scene ever committed to film, one that leads to Yacht Club Vampire attacking her, Edward realizes they come from different sides of the vampire tracks. He knows what he must do: abandon her in the forest, home of the Rastafarian vampires who wear colored contacts so that you'll know they're bad guys.
Who will save her birthday now? Answer in the Twilight Saga: New Moon trailer:
In case you missed it, the answer was the guy who turns into a dog, "Jake."

I didn't think this was possible, but it actually looks worse than the first one.
3. Sarah - June 1, 2009 12:08 PM
Yep, I'd say you summed it up pretty well.

HAHA that was an awesome synopsis of the movie trailer. They guy that turned into the Chow dog was funny to me. He looked like a big snugly dog. Well a BAD CGI representation of a dog.
FAIL...on an epic level. But at least it will keep the tweens out of our movies.

10. Elmo - June 1, 2009 3:32 PM

11. Berzerker - June 1, 2009 4:41 PM

I will forever maintain that Narnia was the worst movie I've seen in my life. I was embarrassed to have watched it by myself in my room. I saw the first Twilight. It was bad, but not Narnia bad.
16. Bladedemon04 - June 2, 2009 6:02 AM
I'm gonna have to agree with Wolverine (@15). Naria *is* the worst film ever.
17. David - June 2, 2009 6:16 AM
Couldn't they have at least gone with a cooler colour wolf/dog.
And as for taking the girl you love out to the middle of the forest and leaving her there; Edward's got style.
18. zenmed - June 2, 2009 5:05 PM
Seriously? I was so excited to see the first one. But I ended up leaving the theater without finishing the movie.
and I have to agree with @17. Seriously! Cooler dog/ wolf would be more interesting
19. . - June 2, 2009 5:30 PM
Best. synopsis. ever.
That wolf wasn't awful. I've seen worse.

The books are absolute shit, and from what I've been forced to watch the first movie is too, and the second one looks painfully bad. I wouldn't mind so much except that this means idiotic tween girls won't stop talking about it for years to come. Honestly, I dare anyone with more than ten brain cells to try reading the books. They are painful to get through, as the writing is atrocious. The idea had potential, and the plot of the first one was OK, except you had to get through hundreds of pages about how hot Edward is until you get to the hastily-tacked-on plot. Ugh. I could go on for days about the many reasons these books suck, but I won't. If you can buy them for 50 cents at a yard sale I say go for it, because in a way, it's cathartic to read something so terrible that you know you can hate for years to come.

@20 HAHAHAHAHA!!! Brilliant! Best review of Twilight ever! I only read it to see what the fuss was about and all I learned was that given the choice between pathetically needy, pushy, moany, reckless and retarded Indian guys with hair issues and vaguely broody pale guys with anger management issues, girls go for pale and broody - so long as he makes her a CD of him playing the piano . . .
Such a load of bollox. Edward's a wanker.
You are now officially my favourite person.

Yeah, Twilight is bad, I agree, but only when you apply certain standards to it. This holds true with any work of cinema or literature. What you have to understand is that it is *phenomenonally* good within its target demographic, which by most standards is grounds for classifying a film as successful. In Twilight's case, the demographic targeted (12-17 year old girls and their moms apparently) is admittedly smaller than most, but that only allows for the author to curtail the piece to please this specific audience exceptionally well and she does just that on a nearly biblical scale. Mock her, the books and the movies all you want (I know I do), but do so knowing that her goal has been accomplished several times over and any petty criticisms amount to nothing in the face of the literal empire she has constructed.
23. Tooom - June 3, 2009 11:29 AM
I didn't know Twilight had Animorphs.
24. Zabby - June 3, 2009 3:05 PM
Um, I actually quite like the books. ^^;; Actually, that's a lie. I LOVE the Twilight books. I know that people feel that they're overrated, and I totally agree with anyone who agrees that Bella is an annoying Mary Sue and that Renesmee has to many good things going for her.
However, I do feel that everything else is very well written and enjoyable. ^^ There are some people who take it too far, Twilight isn't /everything/ but it is a nice form of escapism for people who enjoy reading about sexy men.
25. NastyBedazzler - June 3, 2009 10:44 PM
Never saw the first Twilight although I think it's safe to assume that this series is gay as hell.
I agree with the other posters though talking shit about Narnia... I thought I was the only one who hated that movie with a passion.
26. Amma - June 4, 2009 6:22 PM
the wolf was ok better then the sparkel effects in the first movie
27. Stuey - June 5, 2009 2:28 PM
If they guy looks a little latino and has black hair....why does he turn into a blonde reddish dog????
28. emjay - June 7, 2009 2:59 PM
I'm a 28 year old female and I love this series. I had no interest in seeing Twilight but my sister said I NEEDED to watch it so I did. I made fun of it and laughed several times. For some reason though, I wanted to read the books to make sense of it I guess and I love it now. The movie will not play out exactly as the trailer shows so we can't say its not true to the book (referring to when Jake phases - thats a combo of 2 scenes...Bella is wearing different clothes). And Edward does not leave her in the middle of the woods. They go on a very short walk and she can see her house from where Edward breaks up with her. Then he takes off and she tries to follow him. Thats why she ends up in the middle of the woods. If you don't know the story why are you commenting and why do you care? The period thing is a good point but so what? Its a movie.
As a fan of the books I really look forward to this one and will be in line to see it with the other twilight nerds. Peace

30. twilight fansite - June 11, 2009 11:24 AM

You know what I would do if I had a time machine? I would go back to the seventies and do everything I could behind the scenes to ensure that Stephanie Meyers had an enjoyable childhood with plenty of friends and fulfilling romantic relationships in her teen years.
AND SPARE US THIS FUCKING CRAP.
33. Rachael - June 17, 2009 4:42 PM
killswitch - the font choice was the whole reason i actually started reading twilight..... go font dorks!
34. naomi - July 7, 2009 7:29 PM
You guys really have to read the series before you start bagging on it and saying it sucks, yes edward is a gay ugly retard, but Jacob is awesome, and if you guys read the books you would know that he is supposed to be the reddish brown color in the trailer, and those teenage freaks that over obsess about the books ruin for all of you people that dont understand and make it really sound gay but dont bag on it unless you read it!
35. gina - July 8, 2009 6:07 PM
omg! you guys look sooooo hottt 2 gether!! i love bella and edwerd you guys are the best ever!!lol love you guys sooo much!!!!

O my goodness ya'll are over doggin on dis book dat u dont really get. I think u need an imaginaton to read these books, even all these 20 through 30 or watever ppl understand da book. They are grown n they have an imagination, Stephanie Meyers is talkin about mythical creatures here. So u have to have an imagination, ya'll are doggin on a book u don't really understand.Number 28 i totally agree with u, half the ppl that make fun of the movie haven't even read the books. I mean really. The books are awesome, i agree with some ppl twilight wuz jacked up. It had nothin to do with the book but it was iight. I really think that with the new director new moon will be better.....the trailer is already better than twilight's. So just calm down everybody!
