Jun 2 2009Marcus Wright Armored Up for 'Clash of the Titans'
Ostensibly from the newest issue of Empire, the first production photo from Clash of the Titans has shown up on /Film. The image depicts a scowling Sam Worthington portraying Perseus, or, as I like to call him, "What I imagined my character in the 1996 PC game Diablo looked like in real life."
Hopefully new shots will soon emerge that reveal why Worthington is so pissed at this hand.

I'm going to guess that's Medusa's hand, with my knowledge of the first film.
I think a remake for this might actually do it justice, especially with the far superior special effects we have these days.

Well, he was the only one that made the horrible Terminator Salvation work. And since I loved watching this movie as a kid, I'm sure it will be decent. And yes Carter, the special effects are going to be a big jump from the silly puppets in the original lol

Nope, it ain't Medusa. He's looking directly at her.
The first film rocked. Can only hope they do this justice. :)

This is the remake of the 1981 version "Clash of the Titans".I'd remember that mechanic owl in the movie:)

This was my favorite movie as a kid, I just don't know how I feel about a remake. I kind of enjoyed the bad special effects which, were advanced for their time.

ten points for the Diablo reference.
I remember trying to draw what I imagined my warrior should look like but it always ended up having huge breasts.

I'm slighly ashamed that I can't refer to my Diablo obsession in the past tense.. but only slightly.

Folks.. there's a little game called World of Warcraft. It is Diablo ON MASSIVE STEROIDS. I'm talking about Barry Bonds steroids.
And why are you fools busting on Ray Harryhausen? The man's a legend. Though I will admit that the mechanical owl R2D2 rip-off was extremely irritating.

No one else is seeing the techno viking beard here?
And IMO the "special" effects were absolute crap in the original and not at all advanced for their time. King Kong from the 1930s looks better.

He's pissed because the guy with the hand just said "Talk to the hand, 'cause the face don't give a damn!"
