Jun 30 2009American Werewolf Planning Another London Vacation

With all the effort being put into transitioning the vampire mythos into something less coffin and tuxedo-y, more in-line with selling Tiger Beat magazines, it's about time for someone to get to work on making some shitty werewolf-centric movies too. Thankfully, CGI wolfmen are en route! Dimension films, the studio currently at work promoting their second Rob Zombie Halloween Special, has purchased the remake rights to the genre classic An American Werewolf in London.

I guess they're pretty serious about getting the remake off the ground, because there's already a teaser:

Looks better than I thought it would.

but why????

Yup... a crap remake will DEFINITELY wash the bad taste of AN AMERICAN WEREWOLF IN PARIS out of my mouth... then again, there's been 20 years worth of porn since to wring humor out of!

Someone should do Lonely Werewolf Girl. That's a pretty good book.

DONT SEE THIS REMAKE

Why? and Can we stop this?

at first i didnt mind the remakes because they were generally remaking movies that were lost to the younger generation, and updating them with re-imaginings. Now they are just blasphemous and lazy. What will be left to remake for my grandkids?

American Werewolf in London is a classic. and a magical moment in special fx history.. they will just bland that over with cgi like every other decimated classic.

Everytime you or anyone buy a ticket for this garbage you push them to destroy the next great. If people stopped watching these shitty remakes they would have to try, oh i dont know, something original maybe? Get the hacks out put the artists in.

If you see this movie, what is to stop them from remaking "big trouble in little china" or "blade runner?" I shudder to think.

That song is very Kill Billish

Goddamn it, deviantART.

Maybe it's just me, but even 28 years later, that is a goddamn freaky screen capture.

Wow, Hugh Laurie looks like crap.

Not surprised! This is the decade of werewolves! Move over Vamps!
