Gross, but relatively restrained in comparison to the feces-eating in the original film's trailer. I was fully expecting to be shown a trio of erect chipmunk penises.

Well you knew if they did do a "Squeakuel" they had to bring in the chick chipmunks. Remember that show in the mid eighties man that was awesome. Ahhhhh saturday morning cartoons as a kid.

The one in the back has the fattest face imaginable. It's almost like a toddler chipmunk as opposed to a teenage chipmunk, which makes the whole thing that much creepier. Or, if you're going by the theme of the film, squeakier...when they're doin' it.

Wow, I can't believe I just defended THE GODDAMN CHIPMUNKS.
What I want to know is, where the hell are they? It looks like a school, but there are chipmunk-sized lockers. Is this a chipmunk school, or did an actual school make special accommodations for them? I expected that, being international superstars, they would have private tutors or something.
Also, what the hell are they talking about? "Oh relax, who's going to beat singing chipmunks?" Have they finally gotten in so much trouble that Dave is threatening to beat them? Or are they talking about "beat" in terms of popularity? And if so, why do they believe they are unique in being able to sing? Are they, as of yet, the only sentient chipmunks with voiceboxes? And if so, were they the result of some kind of genetic experiment?
That's what I want to know.

It really makes you wonder... how bad were 80's cartoons that the idea of singing chipmunks was ever thought of aas a good idea. Of all the 80's cartoons this is what we are going with? Thundercats? Voltron? ROBOTECH??? ...She- Ra with like Megan fox as She- Ra hell yeah id watch that

For the last time (not really), the Chipmunks were not invented in the 80's you dumbasses. The cartoon you remember so fondly and are so pissed off that they are re-making was itself a remake of cartoons from the 50's. You are retarded.
The first chipmunks movie was actually a pretty decent kids movie, and it's getting incredibly tiresome to listen to cooler-than-thou internet douchebags who didn't even see it try to pretend they know what their talking about.

Whoa, temper now Grover. Exactly how old are you?? I am 44 years old, my husband, our sibblings and our parents have all seen The Original Chipmunks-Heck we even have the original albums by the men who did the original songs and voices. Yes Grover there are albums besides just television shows and movies. Yes, we did take our kids and grandchild to see the latest Chipmunk movie "It was not the first-there were others first." Oh, and it was the worst thing my entire family agreed that they had ever seen. That they had ruined a lovely and cheerful cartoon from our chilhood. Imagine how we all felt. These new trailers to this new movie just prove my point. It is a ridiculous movie and they ruined something fun from my childhood. I thought the jokes the others told above were quite humorous in fact. I ran across this article while looking for something else. "Your statements were the only ones I took to heart." I truly don't know how old you are, but you are not any authority on The Chipmunks either-unless you were there at the time it all began. Oh, and by the way to prove I did see that horrible last movie - I really wish that Alvin had just died in the dryer scene, because that sure would have kept him from dying in this new movie.
