May 26 2009Real 'Green Lantern' Trailer Probably Won't Look This Convincing
Welp, you might as well stop editing together footage from Firefly and 28 other movie, television, and video games to piece together a Nathan Fillion-starring fake trailer for Green Lantern, because this guy Jaron Pitts has done it, and you probably aren't going to be able to beat it unless you include several squirrel Green Laterns. This guy has knocked it out of the park and into the internetverse.
The real Green Lantern movie doesn't have a chance against awesome sequences from other movies with green effects digitally inserted:

A wee bit too long, but nevertheless, well done. Shorten and tighten it up, and it would have been even better.
The first minute is exactly like what you could see in a theater. 1:00 to 2:00 is too much, and the last 30 second are good.
Get it to 90 seconds, and it's gold.

I mean, when something's that well made you don't wanna nitpick. It's perfectly amazing for an amateur. But it was too long.

why use the batman score, and why is his head terribly tracked on to the green lantern suit, and why did they have to cg the suit. his head dancing all over the place. this made laugh!!

Feel free to criticize all you like, but this rocked. If Nathan Fillion actually plays the Green Lantern, I might even go see the movie! Otherwise it will be yet another superhero flick I have no interest in. I mean, what the heck kind of superhero is a "Green Lantern" anyway? Where'd they come up with that idea? A lantern? And it's green? And a magic ring is somehow relatedt to this lantern? And it's from space? And there's a council of little blue men who make these magic rings and these very Earh-looking lanterns and... ugh, it's just too stupid for my suspension of disbelief to endure.

Green lantern is a play off old arabic myth, alladin. The original green lantern as alan scott, who they originally wanted to name alan ladd. But they decided to change it
