May 4 2009John Connor Drops an "IBB"
Did you have to, McG? /Film noticed a new TV spot for Terminator Salvation that gives an obvious, sigh-worthy wink-wink to the audience: Christian Bale gives the old "I'll be back."
Brother. OK, cute enough, McG, but no more. That's it. No "Hasta la vistas" before shooting a Terminator. No "Good thing they don't make Terminators out of this stuff!" while pouring liquid metal into a mold. This was your gimme.

Oh, come on. It's the catch phrase that defines the franchise. Anyway, you should be angry at John Connor for doing an impersonation of Arnold from earlier in his life.

/\ wasn't the 'I'll be back line', timeline-wise, from before John Connor was born?
4. Elmo - May 4, 2009 5:18 PM
..... who the hell is McG?

At this point I'm expecting Christian Bale to get digitally inserted into 1980's LA while Huey Lewis' BACK IN TIME to blasts over the end credits.

MINOR SPOILERS:
I saw the film. Besides "I'll be back," a teenaged Kyle Reese says "Come with me if you want to live". I think that's it for the winky-winky bits. Except you also see a human skull get crushed by a Skynet vehicle, and in an aren't-we-ironic reverse, you also see a Terminator skull get crushed by a helicopter that Christian Bale's riding on (this happens very early on, so it's not really something to wait for).
The movie's OK. There's one badass chase scene with a giant Terminator and some robo-cycles. Not much humor though. And no laser battles. That's all I'll give away!

Well, all winking and nudging aside, "I'll be back," IS something someone might actually say. It's not like "Bond, James Bond," or "May the force be with you." Every day jillions of people who never even HEARD of John Conner or a terminator let those around them know that they will, in fact, be back.

Zip, you just describe all the trailers for this movie.

My favorite is the part where John Connor says "I'm getting to old for this sh*t!", then jumps out of a humvee onto a helicopter.

@9- did he have a dog biscuit in his mouth, when he said it?

I'm pretty sure that the "I'll be back" has been repeated around JC at least once.

I too have seen the movie. Some Spoilers:
In a huge twist, It stars Christian Bale. Also there is lots of fighting, and robots. A couple of explosions. Then some bigger robots. This is all I will give away. Sorry if I ruined it for you.
I can't believe I got to see it early though.
