Apr 30 2009Who Framed Roger Rabbit This Second Time He's Being Framed?

Now that we have digital tools and performance capture, the power to re-create the effects of a 20-year-old movie is at our fingertips. Time to make another sequel to a decades-old film. From MTV:

[W]hen MTV News caught up with director Robert Zemeckis recently, he dropped a news bomb that had our eyes popping cartoon-style out of our sockets. “I’ll tell you what is buzzing around in my head now that we have the ability—the digital tools, performance capture—I’m starting to think about ‘Roger Rabbit,’” he told us.

I have no idea what performance capture would have to do with animating a madcap, intentionally cartoonish, animated rabbit. It sounds like you're planning to ruin things, Robert Zemeckis. Please don't motion capture Tom Hanks to animate Roger Rabbit.

Besides, clearly HD TVs and Blu-ray are the more impressive technologies when talking about a Roger Rabbit sequel. It's going to look so good when I meticulously, frame-by-frame, step through the movie looking for any possible Jessica Rabbit upskirts.

Andy Serkis HAS to be Roger Rabbit at this point.

leave roger rabbit alone!

The idea of having an original concept is dead

Hopefully he means the prequel about toons in WWII. They can't bring themselves to hurt people, so they're positioned as drivers and non-combatants. I think it includes the establishment of Toon Town, as well.

That's one more thing to check off of my list of memories Hollywood is trying to ruin. A few more and I'll be completely dead inside. HOORAAAYYYYY!!!!!

Wait... Zemeckis? So all the humans will now be CGI? With dead eyes... ummm... no thank you.

I agree with #2

At least we know that with his tit obsession, those 3d mo-cap Jessica Rabbit melons are going to be as good as Zemekis can get them.

#2 read my mind, but I was actually going to phrase it like this:
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! This movie is my childhood! FUCK EVERYONE EVER!

You guys are stupid. The more movies the better. Your old Roger Rabbit will still exist the same as it does now. And why slam a movie that hasn't even been friggin made yet. For all you know it'll be the best shit ever. I LIKE PENIS LOL

As long as its in 3-D....

Check out Macho Man Randy Savage taking a bong rip of salvia... AND FREAKING THE #$%^ OUT:

In the first movie I think they wanted to get the technology out so fast that they didn't bother to think about anything else. The storyline is horrible and I seem to have blocked out most of the other bad things.

It's almost like they were racing someone to get this film made. Maybe they figured this new thing would sell tickets. Anyway, the novelty wears off after 10 minutes and you want to turn it off. If it weren't for Jessica Rabbit carrying the picture it would be a major fail.

Did you ever stop to consider that if they make an animal attractive enough and/or cartoon it up a little, bestiality becomes quite acceptable.
