Apr 22 2009'Kick-Ass' Hit Girl Will Either Kill You or Get You Arrested
Empire has posted the first look at Hit Girl, the child assassin in Matthew Vaughn's adaptation of the Kick-Ass. I still haven't read the comic, but according to my research (looking at this image), this is not an entirely accurate reproduction of the character. In drawn form, wouldn't you say she's a little less... jailbaity? I mean, this actress is 12. I can't even joke about this photo without afterward going door-to-door under the terms of Megan's Law.

I'm going out on a limb and saying maybe this is a set shot from a scene where she's "undercover," not so much a promo shot. For one, they haven't released ANY promo shots I'm aware of, and if they were, I'd imagine they'd start with the titular character. Second point, they've done a pretty good job maintaining the accuracy of the Kick-Ass costume, despite the weird mouth hole. I could only assume if they're going to keep that goofy ass design, they shouldn't have a problem with Hit Girl's ninja-esque getup.

Okay, for all you sick perv's, this girl really is 12 years old. She was born in 97 (IMDB people). And to top it off, she is the voice of Darby on that crappy Tigger and Pooh show. Now stop being disgusting.

I just read issue 6 last night, in the comic the girl is TEN YEARS OLD and the most recent issue was her and her fathers origin story. The end of Issue 6 is crazy amazing. you guys are missing out for not reading this book. I hope the movie is even 1/100th as good as the book.

This movie will play big with the please trample my balls, girl power loving, pedobear demographic and with pathetic guys who insist on playing female characters in MMOs.
Also--in a movie where there are supposed to be no super powers, this character quite glaringly ignores all the laws of physics suggesting that she indeed has super powers. The idea of this character in the context set up by the story is plain idiotic.
