Apr 29 2009'Julie & Julia' Trailer: Holy Cats, It Mentions Blogging!

Nora Ephron, the writer/director responsible for repeatedly informing you Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are the perfect couple, has made a movie in which Meryl Streep plays a Julia Child impersonator and Amy Adams plays surrogate Meg Ryan. If that's the kind of thing you might be up for, here's the trailer:

You know it's going to end like Return of the Jedi, the glowing, ghostly form of Julia Child silently nodding in approval even though she still isn't exactly clear what a blog is.

i see some nicole kidman in amy adams character too! definitely a kidman/ryan hybrid.

Perfect couple? We shall see what we shall see. Noah Lieske

omg Amy that HAIR... it's...HORRENDOUS.

That said; Let's just give Meryl all those awards right now shall we?

...so did State of Play. And it was a funny/cool mention.

will they have the giant hump portrayed also?

Nora Ephron (the director) has worked with Meg Ryan on more than one occasion. My impression is that she (Ephron) directed Adams to act like Ryan. The similarities - tone of voice, facial expressions, physical humour - it was almost like watching Ryan. Adams is a talented actress. While I think Ryan is wonderful (she's hard to beat when it comes to physical comedy), I hope that Adams won't be the next Meg.

Cheers.
