Apr 7 2009First Shots of Don Cheadle Replacing Terrence Howard
SpoilerTV (via Coming Soon) has posted the first shots from the set of Iron Man 2, including Robert Downey Jr. in man-heels, Gwyneth Paltrow in a car, and the above look at Don Cheadle as Rhodey. I was a little nervous about the casting switch being awkward, but now that I've seen how well Cheadle is replicating Rhodey's classic "casual but mystified by cell phones" look, no more worries. He's got it.

I hope they dont think we're going to believe the IRON MAN suit fits in that box RDJ is carrying around.

That is just one big portable cigar humidor. I guess Tony Stark has to carry a lot of them around.
Here's my question though. Does Tony Stark just have really bad taste in shoes, or is Junior just shorter than Don Cheadle and Gwenyth Paltrow?

I never knew don cheadle was a midget. Seriously, look at how small he looks compared to the mailbox and the gratitious man-ass in the background.
also, how many phones are there in that picture? does the aforementioned man-ass dude have two clip-on phones, or is that just some kind of technichian's equipment that i'm too drunk to identify? (those shorts sure look technician-y too me.)

Don Cheadle roxxx. One of the most underrated actors of his generation. Pity to see him as a "sidekick"-part-only, even in a big movie like this one...
On a more trivial note : if War Machine is in here, count me in too...

Yeah, Cheadle's great. In my opinion he's far superior to Terrence Howard, but I'm still kind of irked about the blatant actor change.

Eh... I so dislike character change. Brings back memories of Power Rangers and how I'd have to get used to new names every season...

I can't stand it when they change actors for sequels, makes it worse.
