Feb 18 2009'Wolverine' Television Spot Number Three
Yahoo! Movies has posted the third and final X-Men Origins: Wolverine TV spot. This is the one that reminds you that Wolverine's origin somehow involves a maskless Deadpool, young Cyclops, Emma Frost turning into diamond, and the presence of Will.i.am. Enjoy.
(Oh, and thanks to Carter.)

First Bone Claws!

Every time when Wolverine retracts or extracts his claws you here this metal sound. It suggests that his claws are in metal sheaths.I hope they clear this up.

So am I the only one troubled by the maskless Deadpool. I love Ryan Reynolds as much as the next guy but Come On.

this movie's gonna suck. it's looking more like a Dragon Ball: Evolution movie every day.
no wonder they went back to do some "extensive re-shooting"

If his claws are metal, and they come out of bones which are metal, then there would be a metal schinng sound, right?
It says on his Wikipedia article that he was born with metal bones, and that's his superpower. Sabertooth's power is to be a smilodon.

I thought Wolverine's power was super fast healing. Which is why he could get the metal fused to his bones.
Either way, I'm calling BS on the helicopter stunt. That kinda ruins it for me.

Here, here, Rhane. Maskless deadpool is just a dude with a sword.

Helicopter stunt reminds me of the beginning of Austin Powers 3...quite cheesy if you ask me.
But it could be the (trailer-obligatory) choir singing just as well...

I have a theory that Hollywood hates comic-book movies, so they are doing everything they can to kill this genre.
It's not rocket science - all they need to do is have a panel of nerd-boys, who have at least a decade of experience reading comic books, and run the story board through them. And have a genuine nerd director, like Sam Raimi, who will respect the material. Fuck mass appeal. There is more than enough money with Gen X and Gen Y nerds to make this very worthwhile.

Did I just see Cyclops for no apparent reason? I'm a huge cyclops fan, and even I find that disappointing.

Cyclops? So was he born with an optic blast or did he have that grafted on to him? I though he had a bone optic blast originally.
And Mr. Raimi didn't do so good with Spidey #3... Hope Nolan does better with his third...

I hope this movie does poorly so they don't go ahead with Magneto's movie, or any other films in this series really. These movies are a travesty.

Oooh shiney!

I almost totally forgot about the helicopter! Thank god they brought that back. But wait... were helicopters invented yet? How can wolverine be at Normandy beach during WW2 and attack a helicopter and still look the same age? I guess that's just movie magic, though...
15. Carter - February 18, 2009 11:29 PM
You're quite welcome for the scoop.
This movie can totally suck, but it'll cure my Deadpool fix for a while, so there's that. By the way, Deadpool didn't get his costume until after leaving Weapon X, and Sniktbub left first, so I doubt we'll see the black and red threads and mask properly.
16. Darth - February 19, 2009 4:45 AM
Whether his skeleton got covered by metal or replaced by solid metal.Still, his skin not being cut by his razor sharp metal claws remain a mystery.
17. Sauron - February 19, 2009 4:53 AM
@16 He has super healing power. You're just jealous on Wolverine because he has these powers and you're just half a cyborg! *sigh*
18. Darth - February 19, 2009 5:08 AM
who was defeated by a bunch of elves and dwarfs? *laughter*
19. Reido - February 19, 2009 12:42 PM
They added that epic 'Sunshine' theme to the teaser. Now I have to go see it. Seriously, it looks like it has potential, but I don't see how they can pack so many characters into it. I wanna see MFing Maverick!
