Feb 17 2009Nickelodeon Still Sometimes Showing Great Things
Pendleton Ward, the guy behind the genius of Adventure Time, has made another cartoon short for Nickelodeon's Random! You should watch it:
Now what is this Nickelodeon Random!? Is it always really good? I'm old and don't know about youthful things, but it's nice to see someone continuing the Ren and Stimpy tradition of making amazing children's programming that can later be enjoyed as an adult when probably stoned.

That was fantastic. It has an odd gaff, though: the tickle monster grabs the orange, red and green warriors, but in the next shot when it holds them up (at 3:33), it's clearly holding the blue warrior. In the next scene, the blue warrior is on the ground where he's supposed to be.
You don't usually see problems like that in animation. He must've been really pressed for time when he made it, because there's no way he didn't notice it himself - unless it's somehow intentional.

For complete arbitrary insanity, superjail is better (even though it's on a different network) but this was pretty good.
