Feb 23 2009'Funny People' Trailer is Going to Live After All
Is there a second Adam Sandler movie I want to see in my adult life? I think there might be! Funny People may be a formulaic finally-truly-living-after-nearly-dying romantic comedy, but how can you resist Adam Sander, Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, Jason Schwartzman, and others all acting not-that-hammy in a Judd Apatow film? You can't. Unless you're one of the people who are sick of the overexposure of Judd Apatow and all of his cronies, in which case you'll hate this:
I like that they make sure to subtly address the Apatow over-saturation fears. "The THIRD film from Judd Apatow! Only his third film, everyone! He was just producing most of the time!" But minus points for use of old Postal Service song to make me feel like I'm entering the indie dramedy zone.

I like Apatow's movies. They're real-life funny, not over-the-top or trying-too-hard funny. Plus he subtly injects them with a sentimentality that doesn't feel taked on or cheesey. Granted, this one doesn't seem as subtle but I look forward to see how he handles such a delicate situation.

No way Sandler survives the flick.

What was the first Sandler movie you wanted to see? was it Punch Drunk Love? I hope so, because PT Anderson is a bad ass... like Liam Neeson in that Taken movie.

What was that song towards the end?
"All I got is a motorcraft..."
That's what it sounded like, but that ain't the lyric.

as much as i like his past few movies, i am getting SICK of seeing the same actors. they all play the same characters in different situations. its like watching star trek and they are in a parallel universe or some shit. and casting his wife and kids in his own movie AGAIN? thanks dad!
