Jan 27 2009Watch 'The Prisoner' Using Internet Computer Technology
I'm not sure how long this has existed, but my friend Greg just sent me an email pointing out that the entire 17-episode run of classic '60s sci-fi spy series The Prisoner is available to stream on AMC's site. If star Patrick McGoohan's death two weeks ago sparked some interest in watching the oft-referenced BBC show, this should save you some money on DVDs. Just keep in mind you'll still be paying for it in wear & tear on your download megachip.

Now that episode with Homer and Lisa evading the PBS telethon celebs will finally make sense!

I heard that you can get the full Twin Peaks somewhere around too. This internet box is getting nuts.

The fact that there is only 3 posts on this momentous news is proof that the human race is going down the shitter.
I don't even know what genera The Prisoner is but it's fascinating TV.
Watch it, love it and please tell me what those friggin' white orbs are all about.

It's not a BBC show - It's from the other British channel, ITV

Well, you can't watch it, as it says you need the latest Flash...but even if you do, it doesn't work.
Good job AMC, f-tards.
Why can people use Silverlight and move past the Wed 1.0 Flash world. 99% of browsers support it.

Well, if the AMC site doesn't work for you, there are plenty of other places to get it. *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

This is awesome.
RIP McGoohan
(Though I'm glad he won't be around to see AMC desecrate your amazing series with a "high tech" remake.)

It works fine (and has been working fine for at least a week). Does anyone know how to download so you don't have to stream?
PS - Do note the ads on the bottom promoting the 2009 mini-series/remake.

Something about the series freaked the living crap out of me so I am not sure I have healed from the scars.
Maybe it was trying to understand it with my little skull of mush (I was quite young whan it was on, might have caught it on rerun when I was a bit older - like 10) but it freaked me out and I never could watch it.
