Jan 5 2009'Street Fighter' Still Fighting For Us, With Posters
Let's start off the new year the right way: with another Street Fighter poster. If it's street fighting, why is Michael Clarke Duncan so prominently holding a gun? Is the bottom guy Iron Man? Have you ever tried simultaneously jump-kicking and jump-punching someone? Can I use this logo for my multicultural dojo? 2009 is going to be great.

-sigh- goddamnit Hollywood. I wonder, is there a point where the film guys realize that they completely fucked up the movie...yet there is no turning back by then? I mean...even the quote is shitty. The Dragonball guys and the Street Fighters guys should all sit down and have tea with Uwe Boll...then we should drop anvils on them in a hilarious, WB kinda way.

What is going on with their eyes? Why are they all shiny and glassy (except for Chris Klein ?)? It looks like they cut out some animated eyes from The Spirit Within and pasted them on to most of the cast for some reason. And is that Asian-y looking one Kristin Kruek, or however you spell her name? Because it doesn't look like her at all. This is the movie where she plays the thigh strangling lady, right?
This looks more and more like shit, kind of like that Dragon Ball Z thing. Bad.

erm, sorry, but isnt that blog meant to be about movies? Because every time I read it, all I see is the I watch stuff writer talking about flaws in posters, how this was done in photoshop, this composition is like this and that.. OK, make a graphic design blog where you talk about movie poster designs, but i thought this site was supposed to be about movies.

There is no doubt this movie will suck....HARD. About the only thing differentiating it from the original live action SF is the lack of Van Damme. Sucks for Kristin Kreuk too. Making the jump from television to movies isn't easy to begin with but using a live action Street Fighter movie as your platform is tantamount to career suicide.
All that said, I'm still going to have see it.
