Jan 29 2009Nite Owl Should Just Get Himself One of Those Puffy Coats
Over at Total Film, they've debuted six new Watchmen images surprisingly worth looking at (i.e., not just different brooding poses of the main cast). Flipping through them, I'm realizing I might have to refresh myself with the book one more time before the film's March release, because I don't at all recall Swimsuit Hitler or this Snowboard Liberace guy.

*Slight Spoilers*
The snow suit was featured at the end of the book, when he goes to the arctic with Rorschach.

Hmm, I didn't know they cast Tron Guy as Dr. Manhattan (image 5). Or is this a secret first look at Tr2n?

Aw Dan, I am SO bummed you beat me to the Tron reference!

Night Owl should get some boots with the fur to go with his cape....
I think picture 6 would be a better poster than the one they just put out...

There's a little more man-junk being thrust into the camera in one of those pictures than I'm comfortable with.

*Nite.
sorry.

So Night Owl's snow costume has zippers, but I see the flaw when they are zipped all the way down...

@ poster #1.
What an unnecessary post. You just made it to make it seem like you knew something.
It was the antarctic. Not the arctic.

/\ The writer said he didn't recall 'this snowboard liberace guy' - I was providing an explanation.
And how much more necessary is it to chime in with a correction as if I was way off?
Doesn't your post fall under the same banner of 'made it to make you look like you know something'?
Oh wait, I forgot, this is the Internet - land of a billion daily arguments over trivialities.
Thanks for being a dick, that always hits the spot!
PS: Fuck you

Aha, I love when people get defensive about posts that they make on websites.
Yeah, I read it fairly recently and I don't remember the Axis of Evil either. I'm usually okay with awkward male costumes (partly because I'm so used to seeing females in too scanty things and like the contrast or at least the revenge) but that takes the cake really. Those are some awkward packages.

/\ As do I love passive-aggressive attempts to feign superiority.
12. Captain Obvious - January 29, 2009 6:05 PM
If there is one thing I am waiting for in this movie, it is Malin Akerman dressed up as a 16-year-old piece of jailbait.
13. SteveYEAH - January 29, 2009 7:31 PM
The Axis of evil was in a political cartoon in a newspaper excerpt at the end of one of the chapters.
14. EBAS - January 29, 2009 11:31 PM
The political cartoon depicted a Jewish Banker, an Italian Mafioso, and Cossack; there's no precedent for the Axis of Evil as shown, except maybe in Hellboy...

The soundtrack is on itunes now but you can only pre-order it. Apparently My Chemical Romance has a new song on it, which kind of makes me want to shoot myself.
Desolation Row- My Chemical Romance
Unforgettable- Nat "King" Cole
The Times They Are A-Changing- Bob Dylan
The Sound of Silence- Simon and Garfunkel
Me & Bobby McGee- Janis Joplin
I'm Your Boogie Man- KC & the Sunshine Band
You're my Thrill- Billie Holiday
Pruit Ego & Prophecies- Phillip Glass
Hallelujah- Leonard Cohen
All Along the Watchtower- Jimi Hendrix
Ride of the Valkyries- Budapest Symphony
Pirate Jenny- Nina Simone

Hitler looks ready for some fabulous beach going.

This movie looks a little gay. If it wasn't for the chick with a minute amount of thigh skin showing it appears to be completely unwatchable.
18. War Horse - January 30, 2009 1:16 PM
The Nazi guy is one of the old super villains the original heroes fought. You see him at least a couple of times in flashbacks. I think they were Horris' (first Night Owl) to be more specific.

Aye, I really enjoyed this, and wondered the same thing; where the fuck were these guys in the comic?
And I'm not too thrilled with his snowsuit :(
I liked the big puffy one.

This movie just keeps getting wronger and wronger - My Chemical Romance covering "Desolation Row"? Rorschach was right - the end is nigh.
