Jan 7 2009Japan Has a 'Watchmen' Trailer Too
Guess what there is now. Another Watchmen trailer--this time from Japan, where tradition has dictated new footage must be included. Ignore that all of the characters have Hello Kitty faces. That's a cultural thing that won't be included in the film's U.S. cut.

Surprisingly there was a lot of stuff in there I hadn't seen in the American trailers. Nice.

Was the Comedian SUPPOSED to have killed Kennedy from the grassy knoll in the book?

I feel I should add that the assasination is suggested, not shown, in the GN

It's *implied* in the book that he had *something* to do with the Kennedy assassination, but whether he did it himself or simply didn't prevent it is not made clear.

WOW!!!! I love it. It reminds me of the story told in 100 Bullets about the other way Kennedy might have met his demise.

Geoff's right, it was definitely implied in the GN that Comedian had something to do with it, not necessarily did it himself. BUT you have to remember, Gibbons was a consultant on just about every aspect of the film and I'm sure Snyder had a talk with him about including in this scene before they even shot it to confirm.
