Jan 27 2009Brendan Fraser Hated by Nature Itself
What now, Brendan Fraser? What now?
Brendan Fraser will star in and Roger Kumble will direct "Furry Vengeance," a live-action family comedy that will start production by early summer.Fraser will play a real estate developer whose new housing subdivision pushes far into a pristine part of the Oregon wilderness, pitting the developer against a band of angry critters.
My first thought upon reading this--and it was pondered with genuine concern--was, "Hmm, I wonder if that means talking CGI animals or trained, real animals with CGI and puppets used for the parts where the deer rams his testicles." That's how I know I've finally been broken.
Also, the title Furry Vengeance makes this sound like it's a horror movie about a killer in a giant fox costume, which would probably be the better picture. I'd definitely be terrified to see this guy coming at me with a knife (particularly if Stone Temple Pilots was still playing).

He looks like a young Rowdy Roddy Piper. "They Live" era.

Like, ew?!
This is like that episode of CSI where one of the furries club members killed another one. :-p

Why does Brendan Fraser refuse to live up to his potential? He hot, he's talented...and yet, always with the crappy movies. What can we, as consumers and movie lovers do to help him out? Start a petition? Have a fund raiser? Write our congressmen?

Wasn't that the plot synopsis of Dr Dolittle 2 with Eddie Murphy? Yes I am ashamed to say I sat through and watched Dr Dolittle 2...I will never get that hour and half of my life back, damn you Eddie!

Furry Vengeance is actually about his hair.
I'm disappointed you missed that, Mr IWS.

Tani - with a career as prolific as his (no only does he spit ON camera in JOURNEY 3d, but he's done 3 MUMMY movies AND Bedazzled?!?! Whatta guy) how can you complain? Sounds like you gotta go back to GODS AND MONSTERS for your "shirtless hot Brendan Fraser really good acting" fan service...

I think he just does these movies for an easy paycheck and kicks it the rest of the time.
But
It would be good to see him do a serious role every 5 years or so. Oh no...I just had an idea...$100 says he'd be able to do a great Joker. Not Heath ledger, but a great take on it.

Oregon!!!! Yay I am from Oregon!!! From seeing the quality of the films that Brendan has been in, it probably won't be too hard for me to land a role in that film. I have to find out where they are going to shoot and start writing up my contract that will make me at least a bit of money on the side for what i am sure this to be, a crappy film.

This is a remake of a porno I made years ago.

Yeow! Watched that fur clip that was in the post - I think I hurt my eyes!
Fully expected the white wolf to grab his tail and start swinging it menacingly toward the camera - or something much, much worse!
