Dec 24 2008Tron Returns to Tron
What's a Tron without a Tron, y'know? So bruce Boxleitner, who played Tron in Tron, is reportedly reprising his role as Tron in TR2N:
Bruce Boxleitner, who played Alan Bradley and the title character in Walt Disney Pictures' 1982 film Tron, is currently filming a role for the studio's upcoming Tron 2.0. He joins fellow original cast member Jeff Bridges and newcomers Olivia Wilde and Beau Garrett in the anticipated action-adventure.In the original, hacker/arcade owner Kevin Flynn (Bridges) is digitally broken down into a data stream by a villainous software pirate known as the Master Control Program (MCP) and reconstituted into the internal, 3-D graphical world of computers. It is there, in the ultimate blazingly colorful, geometrically intense landscapes of cyberspace, that Flynn joins forces with Tron (Boxleitner) to outmaneuver the MCP that holds them captive in the equivalent of a gigantic, infinitely challenging computer game.
Besides looking forward to the return of stars Bridges and Bridges, audiences can also look forward to my regular Tron references to enjoy an increase in relevancy. "Phew, it feels like an MCP cone in this place!" will almost make sense again.

Can they get Cindy Morgan? Wouldn't really be Tron without her too.

I think it would only be appropriate to comment on this in binary:

I like how that article says the MCP was a villainous software pirate. Wasn't MCP just villainous software?

Ya the big bad MCP was more or less Windows raging on roids. As long as Keanu's not in it, I'll watch it. Whooa....

What about Ram? Dan Shor is the man, he should be in this.

@5: I agree with you, but ‡£ðè=}ò
„Qz”p¸ÒP^Š is kinda irelevant. also, the title is illogical, tr1n would be closer, but odder, but closer... etc.
