Dec 10 2008Red Mist from 'Kick-Ass' Shops at Halloween USA
Over at Ain't It Cool News, Moriarty has a lengthy report from the set of Kick-Ass that includes the above first look at Christopher Mintz-Plasse's villainous character, Red Mist. I can't help but be reminded of another popular comic book character: Kid in a $52 Robin Costume.

Yes, yes! Because they both employ black and red color schemes! Obvious ripoff! Aside from the different pattern, design and accessories. Other than that, you're totally right...only not.

Ahem, not to imply you were claiming that there was rip-offery of any kind. Just saying, by the same right I could say I'm reminded of Batman Beyond's costume.

Wow Rocko... you'd think you were the movies costume designer with a reaction like that...

It'd be nice if the goddamn book would finish.
Way to have your priorities set, Millar!

@Rutty
I just think its silly to link a low-res two inch tall picture of a costume to something vaguely based off of a design that appeared in less than a handful of non-canon/future/alternative time line comics based on the color. The actual "details" of the costumes are nothing alike aside from color.
