Dec 17 2008Nice Try, 'I Love You, Man' Trailer
Be careful watching this trailer: it's deceptive. You see Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Rashida Jones, Thomas Lennon, and J.K. Simmons reprising his Juno role of "Dad", and you naturally start to believe this should at least be reasonably funny. But once you look back and think about it again, it's just another broad, high concept comedy that's only tolerable because it's somehow not starring Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson as the budding friendship. I feel like I'm a dog and this movie is a pill wrapped in cheese the producers are trying to coax down my throat. Luckily I caught that hint of medicine just before I was going to swallow, so they'll be finding this buried in a couch cushion in a few months.

Andy Samberg is definitely hilarious.
Evidence: Hot Rod and Lonely Island
This doesn't look awful.

what was wrong with freaks and geeks rashida jones? she plays the same character as in the office... or they just have the same name/face

the writer of this post doesn't hate this as much as he'd let us believe he just wanted an excuse to post that really cool and witty line about the dog pill covered in cheese... was it worth it douche?

I saw a prescreening for this film and don't let the trailer turn you off. This film is not a broad, Zack and Miri-esque comedy. It's got a lot of laughs and a lot of heart, more in the vein of 40-year old virgin. Give it a chance guys, it's really great.

Yeah, I'm loving the cast, but this looks like a terrible movie.

I actually saw this a couple weeks ago at one of the first sneak previews - I was very surprised at how funny it was.

I saw a screening of this as well in Burbank. I frikin loved it. Better than Sarah Marshall. I was very surprised how funny it was. Why would you be hating on this - would you rather another Fred Claus?
Best comedy i've seen in years.

Soooo, Paul Rudd, check. Jason Segel, check. Looks like Apatow. I'll wait until the trademark Red Band Trailer until i pass judgement. Unless this is another Drillbit Taylor, which means as humanity, we are FUCKEDDD.
