Dec 18 2008Maggie Q Doing Video Game Movies
Maggie Q has joined the cast of King of Fighters, marking the second time this year an attractive half-Asian gal has been tragically linked to an ill-conceived film adaptation of a fighting game. From Variety:
Action star Maggie Q ("Live Free or Die Hard") has joined the cast of "King of Fighters," an English-language, live-action adaptation of a bestselling Japanese vidgame now lensing in Vancouver.Helmed by Hong Kong's Gordon Chan, pic also stars Sean Faris, Ray Park, Will Yun Lee and David Leitch, who doubles as action choreographer.
Q, who began her movie career in Hong Kong, is the first film star to feature in a vidgame by Electronic Arts. She fronts "Need for Speed: Undercover," the latest version of EA's street racing game.
She's going to be in a Need for Speed movie too? That's miserable. That's taking the failure rate of a video game movie and multiplying it by the failure rate of a Fast/Furious movie. If she continues down this path, she's only a movie or two away from finding herself on a DVD cover, her waist held firmly by the hand of Mr. Stephen Baldwin (his other hand has a gun in it).
CORRECTION: Whoops! As sully pointed out in the comments, I misread the last paragraph. She's in the actual video game, not a movie version. So she's doing great.

No, I think she is just going to be in the new Need for Speed game, is what that article means. Not a movie.
FIRST!

I agree with Sully. Also, I'm really glad they aren't ruining good games with shit movies like this. Go ahead, ruin King of Fighters. You have your work cut out for you.

She's not in a NFS movie, she's in the latest NFS game. They often have actors and models portraying characters in the game during cut scenes and so forth.

So, i am loving her overly concerned facial expression in that pic. Also you can tell she's trying really hard to look like a bad ass with her relaxed arms while her hands are balled up in a fist. Oh! And look at the way her legs just kind of sag, because they're not being used at all in this picture.
Just go do porn lady. I'm sure you'd get more fam out of being in a "Black Dynamite" film.

That is without a doubt the most serene flying-kick-through-a-wooden-beam facial expression I've ever seen.

I like that they took a picture of her doing a sexy pose with balled fists and photoshopped it into her kicking a wooden pillar.

Maggie Q will be starring in the new King Of Fighters movie so I don't think this will work out the box office so as the Tekken movie as well.
But I would like to see the new Mortal Kombat movie remake with new actors instead of the original actors,so my picks are Shin Koyamada for Liu Kang,Vanessa Hudgens for Kitana,Laura Vandervoort as Sonya Blade I'm not sure who will play Johnny Cage and there will be a new actor for Rayden.
The music score for Mortal Kombat should be more Asian sound music with orcrestra just like the first MK movie came out in 1995.
So as the King of Fighters should have the story to follow up the gam that makes sense.
Thank You.
