Dec 5 2008'Hancock 2' Will Be Reality

Doing the press rounds for Seven Pounds, Will Smith told JoBlo that Hancock will "definitely" have a sequel.

When we asked Will if he'd ever be up for playing another superhero he replied that there were a lot of unexplored characters in the HANCOCK universe that would be ripe for a sequel and confirmed that we'll definitely see the rumored HANCOCK 2 in a few years.

See, this makes sense to me. Chapter 1: homeless drunk reforms himself to help people. Chapter 2: it turns out he was only pretending to reform until you let him in your house; then he steals most of your valuables, and when you see him on the same corner a week later, he still has the audacity to ask you for money again. That's always the way it goes with these types.

Firbursterstest!!!

I still have to find the time to watch the first one but if the ending is ridiculous as everyone makes it sound, I doubt I'm going to need a second one.

Watching that movie was like watching two movies. The first half was somewhat enjoyable, but then when Theron was brought in, the movie was a bigger train wreck than the actual train wreck in the movie. But then again, it just shows you that americans will watch anything. I have an excuse, it was playing during a flight.

I took my son and his friend to see the Dark Knight... and since I had seen it 4 times already I snuck into Hancock. Having no expectations (and seeing it for free) I was pleasantly surprised. It wasn't as bad as everyone seems to want it to be.... and I thought the ending was a little rushed but made total sense.

Hancock was some major asshattery.
The 2nd part of it had nothing to do with the premise of the movie and was pretty silly.

2nd half was so horrible so I can't see how the 2nd movie could be any good.

Please NO! THhe first movie sucked. Don't expose us to this universe anymore. This will be the downfall of WIll Smiths actingcareer. No more Ali for you!

a very sad second chapter... doesnt sound interesting at all!!

Whoa there, nelly (aka Beer Baron #13). I'm an American and have not/nor will ever watch Hancock, not even on a flight. Would rather drive my seatmates crazy with my behavioral quirks or take a nap. I have successfully ignored movies on many a flight (Sweet Home Alabama and The Perfect Storm come to mind...) It CAN be done. Ask Winona Ryder, if she's not stoned *HA* or in the midst of stealing something.

I don't buy the premise of a black superhero, let alone Will Smiff. Kinda like how they put Smiff in Maverick as a black Jim West. In reality he would've been captured and turned into a slave back then.

And if a black did have superpowers, he'd most likely be a villain, using his powers to loot and steal and rape white women, so he could get payback for 400 years of oppression by Whitey, or however many years they're claiming these days....
