Dec 23 2008'Doubt' has six Critic's Choice Award nominations, five Golden Globe nominations, won heaps of praise from critics, stars some of our best living actors...
But it seems like it might make me confront the widespread corruption within the Catholic Church, my own feelings of uncertainty, and generally make me think a lot. Thanks but no thanks. Now what's this thing with Adam Sandler and gumball rain?

Anybody see the actual play and think it was dull and overrated? It really is not anything special and this isn't just to tear the thing down.

All these awards, nominations, etc... and still no one is going to the theaters to see the damn thing. Critics vote with their words, but the audience votes with their wallet, so based on overwhelming votes from the majority I give a shit about, I'm gonna guess this film is a big pretentious and boring steaming pile of crap.

It's a Catholic horror film. The Catholic church is exorcised.

Saw a sneak of this movie. Eh. It was acted well, but the word "anti-climactic" is too does absolute justice. If you enjoyed the play (I haven't seen it) my guess is that you'd like the film version. Otherwise, wait until it is free on Demand and only if you've worn out your "In the Army Now" DVD.
