Dec 9 2008'Dark Knight' Score Deemed Elegible for Academy Award
Variety is reporting that the Academy has reversed it's previous decision that would have rendered James Newton Howard and Hans Zimmer's Dark Knight score ineligible.
The Music Branch Executive Committee of the Academy has reversed its Nov. 10 decision declaring their score for "The Dark Knight" ineligible for the 2008 Academy Awards. The score was disqualified due to five names being listed as composers on the music cue sheet.
After reviewing information submitted by the affected parties, the committee concluded that two, Zimmer and Howard, were responsible for the score's authorship.
Now to see if Zimmer can pass the drug test. He says he's clean, but everyone's noticed he's put on way more bulk than composing alone could ever generate.

good. another award they should win.. music is as much to the mood of a movie as the creepy lighting. That's why most people over look it...

I can't wait to run to the store and get this badass DVD! My bros and I are gonna get grab a 30 of Natty lights and watch this shit til the sun comes up dude. I've never really thought about batman before, and I only vaguely remember that bullshit with the shining dude in it, but this is totally slick. I love how that Nolan guy got the actorz to say whatever they're thinking or doing so I don't have to figure out what's going on in the scene, with some underhanded directing bullshit. It's just a good summer movie you can just enjoy, because it's just a movie, yknow?
Heath Ledger (RIP) was so hella scary in this too! I would never have thought of that crap in a million years! gives me NITEMAREZ!! Im glad he didn't do any jokes or shit, either, they just made him a straight up bomber n shit.
WORD, this movie should win like, every MTV award for the next 10 YEarZ! LOL

dude, the Dark Knight DVD SUCKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! absolutely no deleted scenes (which i know there are some), no behind the scene videos w/ Heath (which i know there tons), most of the material we've already seen online. The only interesting stuff to see was how they made the Batpod, THAT'S IT!

I bet they did this so that the oscar's don't lose anymore viewers....like..honestly v_v i bet no1 would've cared about the oscar's if the dark knight wasn't nominated. all those other typical drama movies that're the same reptitive shit over n over would've just gotten another round of applause and u'd be at home wondering...why is that some1 who played the a role that was complete fantasy in the most realistic and menacing way not getting it instead.
