Dec 15 2008Advanced 'Star Trek' Banner & Dragons
After seeing this banner from MTV, the characters all lined up, with so many sharp eyebrows and/or angular features, does anyone else get the impression the Enterprise is being run by half-elves? Bones (second from the left) looks like he might be human, and Chekhov (far right) is probably a halfling, but the rest are half-elves. It really makes you think what the stats, class, and alignment of each character would be according to 2nd edition rules, and how those attributes would weigh in on an away mission battle against a Beholder, doesn't it?

Bathroom worthy poster. I'll put this right next to the mirror.

I see like maybe 1 or 2 people tops that are the way you describe in that post. Go to funny school.

Star Trek will be destroyed by one, little "romulan" named JJ Abrhamas (no I don't care that I spelled it wrong - that was intentional, just like the dude throwing shoes at Bush).
B+W posters are so OLD.

i think spock would qualify as a full elf but yes you're right with the others.....hmmm d & d in space, interesting

Elves. What a maroon. Are you so desperate for an "angle" that this is the best you can come up with? How about this...Wow, will you just look at how HUMAN they all look? Yikes! Is this a conspiracy to make Star Trek normal???

To the haters - you're hanging out in a nerd blog and then you're ripping on someone for making a really geeky observation?
#1 - This is called "shooting fish in a barrel"
#2 - The post is simply an observation that mixes D&D with Star Trek - its merely an opinion. If you don't agree with it, fine. But don't be a douche about it.

Death to JJ Abrams.

In defense of the Geekologie writer you can't be hilarious all the time... I mean sometimes you're funny and other times, this time for example, you're incredibly lame. So appreciate him for how funny he usually is and not for this horribly lame attempt at humor that made me want to poke out my eyes with a rusty melon-baller. Give him a break. Now run away from this thread before the unfunny rubs off on you.... RUN DAMMIT!!
Kidding, Geekologie guy... we still on for Friday? Miss you. I want to make spoons again.

Did I say, Geekologie? I meant IWS

They made Simon Pegg look like Lou Diamond Phillips.

Where is that dumb bitch that always says everything is fake and photoshopped with the shadows that are all wrong. I have grown accustomed to her stupidity.

I just want to know why everyone on the crew/cast has rape face? The guy playing Kirk, especially....

2nd edition rules? 2nd edition rules? don't you know that was the least popular edition, it combined the poor mechanics of 1st edition with extra complexity!
Try at least 3rd edition or the far superior 4th edition.
You're right though they are half elfs. At least they all get an extra at-will power as an encounter power. That can be handy on hostile alien worlds.
