Nov 3 2008'The Reader' Trailer: Kate Winslett is Too Cheap to Buy Books on Tape
I've always wondered what people who read books are like. I bet they're really interesting, and usually have things to talk about that they've read, and do you think they smell nice? I bet they smell nice. With any luck, maybe I'll know one of these "readers" one day, but until then, I'll have to settle for this film about one.
In The Reader, Ralph Fiennes recollects how, as a teen, he had an affair with Kate Winslet that also involved him reading to her. Later, he would find out she was a Nazi, and had forced imprisoned Jews to read to her too. Ralph Fiennes thought he was special! But no, she just did that to everyone. Here's the trailer:
Does that mean I was taking advantage of my 2rd grade teacher when she read my class Where the Red Fern Grows? I knew it.

This is the type of new idea Hollywood should be seeking instead remaking everything.

Speaking of Kate Winslett, why did Col. Klink speak with a perfect American accent?

I'll see this, cause I love Ralph Fiennes- if any man alive could really use hairplugs and not get slammed for it, that's him

Elmo, if you had a body like that, you'd have "I appear naked every time I'm in a movie" in your contract.
This looks great.
For renting.
