Pixar's 'Up' Trailer: It's Pixar, so, You Know

Pixar has released a new trailer for Up. I know better than to say anything derogatory towards it because, well, it's Pixar, and it isn't about anthropomorphic cars, so chances are I come out the one looking stupid, not the most critically and commercially successful animation studio ever. So I'll just say that I like how he has tennis balls on his walker feet. Old people always do that!

Seriously though, what is the logic of the tennis ball thing? If that's a better way to have walker feet, why are we not just making them that way?
