Nov 26 2008Good Thing 'Shawshank Redemption' Wasn't from 1983
If The Shawshank Redemption was made in 1983, how would the last 20 minutes look? Like this exciting montage, probably, except Jeff Goldblum would have played Andy:
Even if it did end this way, I estimate at least 78% of college sophomores would still maintain it being "the best movie ever after Big Lebowski."

I didn't think Shawshank could be better but I was wrong.
The stupid ads popping up during the video was annoying. Does someone have this from a site that doesn't do that?

@#5 - well if it had been a real 80's music montage there's a good 60% chance it would have included some sort of dance sequence. Most likely involving other prisoners doing laundry, working the kitchen, and playing basketball but all highly choreographed and probably hitting/dropping things in time to the music.
oh god now i really really want to watch Karate Kid, Flashdance, and Footloose... damn.

Hahaha, that was well done.
I kinda miss the 80's classic cheese... I gotta go watch "Footloose" now

Jesus man, being a college sophomore I am beyond tired of hearing everyone I know say how great Shawshank is. It's good, but it's basically Cool Hand Luke in Maine. My only gripe about this video is that it compresses the most interesting parts hahaha
