SURELY that's not what they're gonna go with? I'm all for doing things a little different in a movie but to go from a giant monkey to this Underworld reject is a little bit extreme (and a lot of bit ridiculous).

Hopefully it's just the under mold... maybe they will add fur to it... or maybe CG fur... The ears, eyes, and mouth are feesable... IF they add fur... I am assuming the shape of the head at the top would be to shape the fur if there did add it later on...

If they leave it as it is... well... I'll be dissapointed...

Ummm, no way that's a completed product. My money is on it's just the begining of the transformation (minus cgi effects) because it looks like its wearing goku's gi (i think that's the name for a karate uniform)

I always thought that seeing Oozaru in a live action movie would be really cool. I mean, they already did King Kong multiple times, but he couldn't shoot laser beams from his mouth.

i'm half-expecting that all the promo material so far for this film has been bunk to distrct from the fact that they're actually making a high-concept adaptation that irons the problem out of the anime and develops a deep, complex, Dark-Kinght-esque storyline and character developm.....

I don't know the whole DB universe - the only reason I'm at all interested in this flick is because A) my husband was into the series (in PASSING), and B) I'm into James Marsters (dribble...), but I'm pretty sure about monkeys and THAT, my dear sirs, looks nothing like one. It looks like a Hot Topic Halloween mask that...what a minute... it IS!!!! God damn this economic crisis!!!

i am not a fan of the series, but had to follow the link to see what it looked like. from a purely outside perspective, this has to be like a partial transformation. Doing a transformation using full on CGI can get pricey, and films such as "Underworld" and the "Hellboy" films even used practical effects, which were then CGI enhanced. Now I don't know everything about DB, but I don't judge films based on teaser pics and early footage. Films stay in post production for awhile, sometimes until the week of the full blown release. For all you DB fans, just wait it out and see the finished product. I felt the same way when "Transformers" designs leaked about a year before the film. I was not fully impressed, but considering they were going for a more "real world" (I use that term loosely) feel for the characters, I let it slide. Yes, some story elements were drawn out and there were too many human elements, but they were just there as plot devices. So as I said before,just wait it out and stop crying.

I think the movie's website is very biased or maybe the producers of the movie are the ones that comment in disguise because the vast majority of comments there are totally like "Whoa this is awesome!" And I'm like "Um, no, actually it sucks because this is like the 10th character from the movie that looks nothing like the shows original counterpart" and they all jumped down my throat lol Just interesting to notice the difference of opinions between websites.

This looks much more like the make-up that would be used for Piccalo's character rather then the Oozaru. Unless this is very, very early on in the transformation process.

Hey people, I don´t like being repetitive but...All my sh*t is just waiting for Hollywood to produce something further from reality than the "Galactus" from Rise of the Silver Surfer. I doubt this is the case, but seens they are giving all they got. I loved this series, and no matter what ANYONE else things about their favorite animes, I am getting as drunk as possible before going to see the debauchery they're attempting to put on film, because I know it'll be that bad. Look what they did to street fighter. (This is the bastard child of Hollywood and anime, and sadly the first of many, laugh all you want, who knows whose favorite will be next?)

I'm a huge DBZ fan. Honestly I've been keeping up with the updates and they are all ridculous but this ones just the ultimate display that the director doesn't give a shit about the fans. I mean no Krillin, FINE, I can see how it'd be hard finding a 4 ft. tall guy to launch turtle power attacks, Piccolo being white? FINE, even though it's one of his easiet definable aspects. BUT, a down syndrome gargoyle? He can't possibly be the great ape form of Goku. Even if it's just part of his transformation it's still stupid looking. This is just completly ridiculous, I'm still going to see the movie, but it's more like japanese fight for dragon orbs. It's not the anime I know and love.

i have seen the trailers for this movie and i am betting that this new transformation screen is accurate. the movie is going to be terrible and not the kind of terrible that is funny and enjoyable, but the bad kind that is tedious and painful. i urge people not to waste their money on it. also, i am actually a fan of the show.
