Nov 21 2008'Earth' Trailer: Nature is Crazy

earth-trailer-2.jpg

I just recently saw the BBC's Planet Earth on a friend's 50-some inch 1080 HD hologram TV. If you haven't seen this, let me tell you, I can confidently say nature is more amazing and crazy than even YouTube suggests. Find a friend who can afford a nice television made of plasma and watch it.

I bring this up because Disney and Planet Earth director Alastair Fothergill have taken what looks like mostly the same footage and edited it into a theatrical release. Normally that would be obnoxious, but if this is released IMAX, that means seeing nature craziness at a massive scale. It will feel like I've actually gone outdoors!

Here's the trailer:

I hate those wading monkeys so much.

Thank god I didn't have to listen to Morgan Freeman's stupid voice (yay Patrick Stewart!).

Also yes, the Planet Earth shows on a nice television are out of control.

Earth looks crazy, yo. Maybe I'll visit one day.

aw I liked thatz

@1 that isnt Patrick Stewart. It sounded like James Earl Jones to me.

Pardon: don't/won't have to listen to Morgan Freeman

anyone know the sigur rios song playing at the end?

I hope Sarah Palin makes a cameo (word up) and smokes that Elephant and the baby one and then turns,* winks* and says

"f ck you PETA and Pam! Eat my country crotch!"

Palin /McCain 4yrs from now!!!

its HoppĂpolla which in Icelandic means "used on every nature show since it was released "

i'm pretty sure you could put hoppipolla over anything to make it empowering and celebratory....also Old surely, planet earth was on me TV super long ago - keep up american types.

though granted we didnt have musfasa narrating

that's amazing. the wonders of theatrical trailers. who knew a documentary could actually look so cool!

The clip above obviously has James Earl Jones as the narrator. The IMDB listed Patrick Stewart as the narrator for the BBC version of Earth. This is a Disney remix of the same footage it seems.

Hasn't this been out for at least a few months now?

It's just not the same as David Attenborough

Sigur Ros soundtrack?? nice.

you're just getting this now?
this is almost 3 years old now.
-to think, i come to this site daily....
