that poster doesn't look as good as the other poster... you know...
the poster that looks exactly the same?
it's like they went in a hi-def phone booth to take the shots for all 23 posters

I'd imagine being 17 (or whatever freakin' age the man is) forever would be a cruel form of torture. Oh, wait. They sparkle in sunlight in this book, right? That's just that much worse.
So who wants to take bets on the success of this film? I'll say that it opens at $30 Mil, and bows with ~$120 Mil... meaning we're going to see some teenage vampire clones in theaters for years to come.
*sad face*

this looks so ass... it's for kids right? it's not just that they look like 12 year olds in makeup is it?
5. Snoodle - October 7, 2008 12:45 PM
There's no way the movie can be as bad as that literary vomit of a series...right...? RIGHT?? *sobs in a corner*

7. martygras9 - October 7, 2008 1:32 PM

Photographing them together was too hard? Did it confuse the high school graphic arts student they hired?
Snoodle: Nearly every movie based off a book, with very few subjection exceptions, are worse than the book. Think about that.

Its obvi the IWS blogger hasnt exactly done his Twilight research.
Or maybe its just obvious he's a guy since the series is geared towards women.
I like this blog. I agree with most of the opinions on this blog. But I loved those books and am looking forward to the movie. And Im a 20something lady.
So please professional blogger --- do more research on Twilight and less on craptastic video-game-into-movie/cult-comic-movie stuff before you come up with another bad blurb on a Twilight poster - or at least consult a lady with Twilight knowledge before going off of a male-centric opinion.

Somethin wrong with his eye.
Also, they fucking SPARKLE? Are you shitting me?
13. delic8 - October 7, 2008 9:16 PM
@Robyn: No, he is not shitting you. They fucking sparkle.
Also: that dude is ugly as all get out. Honestly, since they obviously don't care about acting ability, couldn't they have managed to get a hot guy? Or even a passable one?

@delic8 Holy fucking fairy princess vampires. What. The. Fuck.
Tiger Beat: "Dracula Super Sparkle Edition!"

I'm looking forward to the movie but only to see how well they can attempt to adapt it.
I read the series and enjoyed it (minus the second book. Die Jacob, die). So I am curious as to how it turns out.
As for that poster... it's awful. Like, really awful.

I think the most important thing to remember when looking at this movie and after reviewing the comments from the production staff they aren't making twilight the book: the movie. Its like Harry Potter. In order to really enjoy it I think you have to not look at them as the same thing, but only relatives. It may totally fail on its own, but it isnt the books fault.
Stephenie seems to think the screenwriter did a good job.
PS - what face is Rob making in this poster... Doesnt do justice to edward.

ahg....this is a shity poster
he looked kinda sorta hot on one of the italian teaser posters but he's waay uglier on this one... and the chick looks bored
...oh, what? there's a story to this movie?
I never read the book....
