Oct 14 2008Sort of Captain America in 'The Incredible Hulk'
Over at Film School Rejects, they're saying the above image is evidence of a Captain America cameo on the Incredible Hulk DVD. Director Louis Leterrier has previously mentioned there would be a glimpse of the patriotic hero, saying:
It’s an Easter egg. It’s not like oh, it’s Captain America and it changes everything. It’s still a Hulk movie, but it’s really Captain America and it’s there, you’ll see. It’s the real deal. You have to look for it.
So this probably is legitimate, even if it does just look like someone buried a tie-dye shirt. But in case you're still doubtful, or even just confused at what you're looking at, I've added some clarifying shots under the cut that should make it all crystal clear.
See?

See?

Really don't see it. But, I'll take your word for it. When something is that hidden, it's kind of lame. Because you have to reference it for people to look for it, Just saying.

I can kind of see it, but I believe that when he was frozen in ice, he actually was not Captain America at that point...just plain old Steve Rogers. He became CA after they found him and thawed him out right? So, I am not sure he would have had his shield and been decked out in red, white and blue. I am no comic aficionado, but just my thoughts.

this is also the same director that said the last fight scene in the hulk was going to be 30mins long......it was only 7 -_-'

Wow. what an ugly child you were (are?... you can never tell who's on here)

Captain America has got to be one of the dumbest "heroes" ever concieved. So some blue smudge in the snow is supposed to get people excited!? LAME. This guy (Leterrier) should be embarassed for even bringing it up - talk about making yourself look stupid.
7. Ben - October 14, 2008 4:44 PM
So who is in the run to play Captain America? I heard Leo DiCaprio then Brad Pitt the some African American actor and now one of the leads in Supernatural.
8. Ben - October 14, 2008 4:46 PM
By African American actor, I of course mean Will Smith.
9. Elmo - October 14, 2008 4:52 PM
Captain Morgan.... is Captain America your estranged brother?!
10. Elmo - October 14, 2008 4:54 PM
Oh, and what better actor then Will Smith to play a superhero that portrays the great American spirit?
HEY wait....
he already did that... the drunk guy with the booze bottle! God bless him!

No no no, that's obviously Captain Bonghits. See how everything is kinda indistinct, that's from the smoke. He passed out and froze in the arctic while chilling with Megatron, yeah I'm writing the screenplay now. Anybody wanna invest? Anyone? (crickets chirping) Damn...
12. Sueyo - October 14, 2008 5:13 PM
Gee, thanks for pointing it out - I never would've been able to see it.
Whoever might've managed to find that and actually come up with the idea that it's Captain America is a sad, strange little man...
13. Elmo - October 14, 2008 5:30 PM
is Captain Morgan a sad, strange little man too?
14. CaptainMorgan - October 14, 2008 5:34 PM
@9 Nope. Captain America is just a really dumb and weak-ass comic book character. Nothing like a "hero" that hides (behind his shield). LAME.
15. Lorem Ipsum - October 14, 2008 5:36 PM
What about the CAPAM shield in Iron Man? When Pepper catches Tony doing it pew-pew style with the robots....
You can see the Captain America shield on the table in the background.
Old news? Probably, but then again your mother is a whore that used to sleep with everyone in high school but that would be new news to you. Right? Thought so, slags!!
16. Ben - October 14, 2008 5:36 PM
I think Serena Williams in a bikini (or in that child's Cap costume above) should play Captain America.
17. CaptainMorgan - October 14, 2008 5:36 PM
@13 well you can thank me and my rum for getting the ladies you would never normally have a shot at a bit 'easier' so you can have a go. You are welcome.

Captain America (the comic book character) was actually introduced in 1941 as a sort of comic protest of the US not being involved in WWII. After the comic was discontinued, it was later revived with the explanation that Cap had been frozen in ice for 20 years or so.
So yes, it would be entirely appropriate for a full costumed Captain America with shield to be frozen in ice.

That's a pretty good ghost photo. Or is it supposed to be in super fast motion blur?

FAKE...the shadows are all wrong lol
27. corbijn - October 15, 2008 4:07 AM
I thought that when CA was found frozen, he wasn't in costume or with his shield? At least that's what I remember from the comics but then again I could have just been stoned.
I think Jason Statham could play him. Hell, if H.I. McDunnough can be Ghost Rider, anything is possible.
28. Bobeyo - October 15, 2008 9:03 AM
He's supposed to be FROZEN? Crap, I was hoping he was dead. Like maybe Hulk took place after the Cap movie, in which Cap gets capped. That would have been great.
Captain America and Superman = the lamest superheroes ever, both of whom should have died away decades ago when cheesy, campy crap stopped being mainstream.

Have any of you haters read Brubaker's Captain America? it is considered by many (and is) a fantastic series. Probably one of the best I have read.
The character isn't some cheesy America rules propaganda tool he was in the 40's. When you make assumptions about characters you don't even understand/ know anything about you look like an idiot. The inner conflicts of a rip van winkle-esque character by itself provides an interesting starting point let alone one who is a super hero.
Hell they made a movie about Hulk which is about the worst stand alone character ever in the Marvel Universe. Outside an ensemble cast Hulk stories blow.
If anyone has doubts about the coolness of Captain America, seriously pick up some Brubaker Cap comics.

here's a better pic of it

31. Lex San - October 15, 2008 4:17 PM
Even with the better photo - sticking Captain America into a movie for like maybe 4 frames before icing him over is stupid - even Iron Man had a full blown shield on the table.
32. GuyBehindtheGuy - October 15, 2008 5:55 PM
The only problem is that when Cap got frozen, he didn't have the round shield. That was only after he was unfrozen--MEGA FAIL, LOUIS LETERRIER!
"Aquaman, you can't marry a woman without gills, it's against--oh my god, I've wasted my life."
33. Bobeyo - October 16, 2008 8:06 AM
Soapfish: I still would have trouble reading such a serious story about a guy named Captain America who has itty bitty wings on the head of his stripey suit. But regardless, do you really think the movie will handle the character this way, or simply cast him as patriotic propaganda material again? Spider-Man 3 featured Spider-Man swinging slow-motion in front of a giant American flag...
Renn: Hm, after seeing that better pic, I'm now convinced this is not an image of a frozen Captain America, but a fan's drawing of Captain America spray-painted onto the frozen ground. Now the "cameo" seems even sillier.
34. Soapfish - October 16, 2008 11:45 AM
So you have trouble reading a good story because of a costume? I'm pretty sure spider-man is just as goofy in concept.

He looks pretty badass to me.
They probably won't even do that costume design anyway and lean towards the ultimate line version of cap.
However, I do find Spider-man's flag waving annoying this was prior to marvel studios and there work on Iron Man and Hulk. Both turned out well and relatively faithful to the character so I am giving them the benefit of the doubt.
In fact Captain America, in my opinion, is probably the least flag waving characters in the Marvel U. Its true he occasional literally waves a flag, but most of the time he ends up at odds with the government and the system because he holds to the actual ideals of America rather than the corruption around him.
35. Iron Lantern - October 18, 2008 1:50 PM
Exactly Soapfish. Anyone who ever even heard of Civil War knows this. [Ultimate] Cap doesn't even hestitate to kill people, if need be. He was just a gimmick in the 40's, but now he's one of the most hardcore heroes around.

ARE YOU ALL IDIOTS... OR JUST RETARDED.
Cap is amazing. And have any of you read a comic book... I mean any comic book? EVER?!
"can kind of see it, but I believe that when he was frozen in ice, he actually was not Captain America at that point...just plain old Steve Rogers. He became CA after they found him and thawed him out right? "
NO. HOW ABOUT YOU ARE A BIG WRONG IDIOT
37. FlapJoy - October 20, 2008 2:17 PM
OK HERE'S THE DEAL: When Cap was frozen, he had the suit, he had the round shield... he was a full fledged superhero during ww2, he did start out with a trianglular shield in his earliest days, but had the round adamantium shield at the time of his suspended animation.
38. steve06 - October 20, 2008 5:04 PM
What about the Nick Fury and Stark Industries stuff at the start of the Hulk http://www.imagechicken.com/uploads/1224536573027272300.jpg it hasn't been mentioned yet....
