Oct 20 2008'Push' Trailer Teaches That Superhero Eyes Dilate When They Do Superhero Magic
Someone's been paying attention: superhero movies are so hot right now. There's a new one coming out soon with some Heroes-esque, street clothes-wearing, no-name superheroes (thus saving the studio the money of paying royalties to John Batman, Lou Ironman, etc.). It's called Push, and here's the trailer:
If I possessed telekinetic ability, I too would use it first and foremost for subtle die manipulation. Everyone playing Yahtzee against me is going to look like an asshole, because I am a superhero.

I don't think they'll save the cheerleader in this one.

so pretty much a big screen adaption of Heroes... which ripped off x-men etc.. etc...
actually looks interesting... Is Chris Evans going to shout 'Flame On' at any point? ~_0

even the blacked out eyes are ripping off maya from heroes. that said, i don't really mind.

ok, i just saw the preview., dakota fanning paints the future in which they all explode, the bad guy has sylar's throwing-people-around ability, the other girl reads minds, and there's a company tracking them down. couldn't they have at least ripped off a minor character's ability and something besides the ENTIRE PLOT OF SEASON ONE.

This looks absolutely terrible. I'll download it.

14. bibleThump - October 20, 2008 8:12 PM

Personally, I liked this movie before I even knew it was going to be made.
Dakoda Fanning is not aging well, by the way....I blame Scientology.

Looks like an AKIRA rip off.
20. anon - October 21, 2008 6:39 PM
With all the ripoff rants it's pretty easy to see who reads comics and who doesn't. Nobody even mentioned the similarities between Marvel's resident adolescent anorexic blond girl who can see the future and this movie's adolescent anorexic blond girl who can see the future. Go watch more TV losers.

I saw the headline and hoped for a split second that Salt 'n' Pepa were here and were in effect. Instead I got a watered-down crap-jambalaya of X-Men, Heroes, Minority Report, and so on and so forth. However, this one has the distinction of further fucking up Djimon Hounsou's chance for a decent career. Boo! I want Spinderella!
23. Barraka - October 22, 2008 3:15 PM
When is that girl Fanning ever going to see a dentist?
Also Push 2: The Search for More Money (it's just necessary when naming a sequel)
