Oct 24 2008'Notorious' Trailer: Being a Rapper Sure is Hectic!
The Notorious B.I.G. movie has a new trailer, so as per usual, here is that to watch. I doubt it's going to bring the Oscar buzz of other recent music biopics, but it does look good enough that if it were on VH1 as a TV movie special event, and I spent two hours watching it from my couch, I would not feel that bad about myself.
I'm so glad I got out of the game.

after that trailer, why would i want to pay to see it? i mean, they show you 90% of the movie there! except the end, which i already know... so! that's a bad trailer.

If you don't want to pay to see a Biggie Smalls biopic, you're probably not the target audience. Did you really expect a riveting portrayal of Notorious B.I.G.'s life? I mean, it could have been really good, but that would have come from left field. I've expected this to suck since it was announced.

How did Ralph Macchio not get cast as Tupac? What a shame....

When are we going to stop treating Tupac and Biggie like they were heads of state? Yes, they were great rappers and I loved their music. But they were -thugs- who played the -thug game- and died -thug deaths-. They were not heroes. This society spends too much time adoring the wrong kind of people.

If you weren't a teenager in the 90's, you probably won't be into it as much. I grew in the 90's and listen mostly to punk at that time. But I definitely new of Biggie and Tupac, they have a lot of talent and got a lot of respect. I will see this movie.
