Oct 6 2008'Kick-Ass' Costumes Look Faithful
Someone on the YouTube has posted some videos from the set of Kick-Ass (via /Film), where you can see a hint of Aaron Johnson in-costume as the titular hero. It's pathetic that Hollywood has beaten me down to a point that just this accurate recreation of the costume has given me a huge jump in expectations for the project. The act of simply not completely fucking something up should not be as laudable as it is.

Maybe I'm looking at it wrong, but it looks to me like they
DIDN'T get it right AT ALL.
In the drawing, the mask covers the mouth.
That guy in the car has a mask that does not cover his mouth. Doesn't that seem like a detail that wouldn't be too hard to match? The big stripes on the mask make it look pretty cheap, but maybe that's the look they were going for?

i actually saw them film in toronto and i was wondering which superhero he was. they must have done that take atleast 50 times.
