Yeah, this is what I'd expect a Friday the 13th remake to look like. It's like a video version of a friend trying to explain the idea of Friday the 13th to you: "There's this camp, and this dude Jason is like hacking at these teenagers with knives, and he's got this hockey mask. Maybe there was a trap door or something? I don't know. I could be making that part up. I only saw one of them and it was a long time ago."

I would not recommend applying the "why did they remake this movie" question to any recent or future ventures by Hollywood. The fat cats that greenlight motion pictures only care about money, like the rest of us of course, but they prefer a safe investment. Keep the budget low, show some nudity, and you will turn a profit. If you have an established franchise, the bet is just that much safer.
Plus they are out of ideas my friend. Too much blow and Xanax has left hollywood dreaming of the golden age of days gone by... and then bringing those ideas back for a quick buck.

Why would they show one of the main characters about to be killed months before the movie is even released.
I get the feeling that Supernatural is just playing a joke on girl from the O.C.

Worse than the Hollywood, are the movie-goers who enable crap like this to turn a profit. I'm trying to act 'holier than thou' as I have seen many sub-par movies, with the knowledge that they would be crap. There are still some directors/writers out there trying, you may not have liked The Dark Knight, but that was far from a formulaic Hollywood production. There are still people who appreciated a good movie. There are still people who can make good movies.
Ok, now i'm just babbling.
