Here's the new trailer for Defiance, where a Frankenstein-like James Bond, Liev Schreiber, and Billy Elliott save a group of Eastern European Jews by recreating the Battle of Endor:

WOLVERINES!!!

wierd. from the looks of the gun on the poster, and your comments, I was thinking this would be sci-fi. But it still looks pretty good, in a Jews as Ewoks kind of way.

jews jews jews so many good movies about jews
this looks great! but I hate the music...
I like Liev, but only since he said that guys should be naked in movies as much as women. since then I like him very much x)

*I forgot the actor's name... christ!
daniel craig!

nice silly write up on this site, that gets a bit boring, ya know?

however this movie looks great, and no matter how many quips you write - you can't take anything away from that.

wow, they actually have correct accents, in your face valkyrie.

Correct accents? Wouldn't they be speaking in Hebrew, Yiddish or Polish in real life? Speaking English in a foreign accent makes as much sense as speaking in American accent in Valkyrie.

I love it when movies without tact are made about Jews.

@G
I told you

To me, Daniel Craig will always be that nobody that Angelina Jolie saved in the original Tomb Raider movie.

I will never forgive you for having more nude time than Angelina, Daniel! NEVER!

Um, this movie will do WAY better in theatres than Crazy Tom's Valkyrie. This looks great - CT's looks like a stupid ego trip.

Bond beats Tomboy. Hands down.

Shouldn't that be "Brian Singer's Valkyrie"? Tom Cruise is just the star, and he was chosen because he looks a lot like the actual guy he is playing. Check out the profile shots in the Wikipedia article about the movie if you don't believe me.

I'll probably see Valkyrie, because it's nice to see the Germans not being treated as universal villains in every film. It also looks like stereotypical than "Defiance."

*LESS stereotypical

If you think Tom Cruise was "chosen" because he looks like the guy...you got to be kidding! It's not because he's desperate for a part that will make him look like the hero (again) or deflect attention away from his weird / wacky ideas and family life...or is it? Tom is a douche bag from outer space, man.

Daniel Craig makes him look like the skinny pubescent bag boy at the local food mart (you know, the one that doesn't speak or make eye contact).

Three Brothers, the WWII-era prequel to Four Brothers.

Daniel Craig needs to look more like a samurai.. wheres his damn beard?

why talk about "valkyrie"?
if this is as good as it appears to be, it might as well be considered "inglorious bastards" with brains and historical accuracy.
already look forward to watching the two movies back-to-back.
no room for "valkyrie" in my DVD schedule for next fall, though. sorry, tom.

@14: you're an idiot.
cruise was cast in valkyrie because singer liked him for the part. cruise can't just have whatever part he wants, no matter how desperate he is.

i think valkyrie looks better. the defiance trailer has all of the stereotypical story elements of every movie about a small band of fighters with the odds stacked against them. "we will become warriors! everyone will work; no exceptions!" and then the shot of them all taking target practice. give me a break. and the lame fake accents. it would make MORE sense for each actor to speak with his own voice - because every real-life character would have done the same.

comparing craig and cruise in their roles is stupid. they're both playing REAL people. so it doesn't matter if you think craig is more attractive or stronger.

that trailer kicked ass!! looks like an awesome movie and i'm gonna go see it.
