Oct 30 2008'Angels & Demons' Teaser, Now with Morphing Statue
Tom Hanks has a dapper new haircut and he's ready to fight the Illuminati in this new teaser trailer for Angels & Demons, the sequel to a movie with the same protagonist as The Da Vinci Code. Kyle, who pointed out the trailer, says it's like watching "a $100 million travelogue without the Hanks good hair." He's mostly right, but I feel I should also mention all the hot iron-branding that appears to take place. If only more expensive travelogues involved branding, that Mario Batali/Gwyneth Paltrow go to Spain show would be so much more watchable.

Pope is dead. Pope's aid killed him. Manufactured illuminati story to cover it up and position himself to be new pope. Eventually finds out old pope was his biological father. Robert Langon saves the day.
Done. You're welcome.
If the movie holds true to the book, there will be an embarassing lack of education on the subjects of anti-matter, firearms, and aircraft displayed. Also, there should be a highly amusing scene of a fat chick skydiving.

I'm fairly certian Angels & Demons was published before The DaVinci Code, making it a prequel - or not, since the only thing they have in common is the main character and conspiracy.

Angels & Demons WAS published before Davinci Code, making it not a "prequel", but the baseline. A prequel is written AFTER the first one, dealing with events that take place BEFORE the first. The order the movies are produced doesn't change the order the books were written.
However, calling it a sequel is no more correct either. It's an occidental chronology.

This is so old... I remember reading this on Wiki like 4 years ago. Next you'll be posting more old news like Sam Jackson will be playing the role of Sho'Nuff in a remake of The Last Dragon...

"If the movie holds true to the book, there will be an embarassing lack of education on the subjects of anti-matter, firearms, and aircraft displayed."
...not to mention Catholic doctrine and dogma, which, much like The DaVinci Code, was replete with errors and false statements. If you are going to present something as accurate, at least get it close to right - don't just make stuff up on the fly like a bad sci-fi writer.
As for everyone saying, "This was the better book" - both stunk.
And was that Alec Baldwin narrating the trailer? I remember when he used to be a serious actor.

Erm... Black smoke does not appears when the new pope is chosen, but when pope dies. When they chose the pope they start a white smoke. Kinda big mistake I guess...

Drużyna, the pope DOES die....in the trailer it says 'a new pope has yet to be chosen'.....there IS no new pope yet so why would they start white smoke?
