I have gone through life assuming that Tyler Perry fans are just sheltered Christians who have not been exposed to quality entertainment or humor and that is how they find the jokes on House of Payne and the Madea movies funny.

But this shatters that reasoning for me. I wouldn't have expected them to know about the Basic Instinct crotch shot.

Please... Make these Tyler Perry movies stop.... this is getting almost as bad as the 'scary/date/disaster movie' movies. One bad movie I can accept but doing it over and over and over is just the worst thing since Spencer Pratt.

I guess if you really want to blame someone though blame all the people in the south and mid west for buying tickets to this mans god awful movies.

I'm convinced that Tyler Perry is the smartest man in Hollywood.

He makes films, albeit bad ones at that, targeted at a very specific demographic. His films are inexpensive to make, his cast is rarely A-list, he churns out at least one a year, and while he's never broken the $100 million mark (that I'm aware of), he's consistent.

If I were a studio, I'd take the consistency of Tyler Perry over some crap like Ghost Rider or whatever that crap-ass movie Nicholas Cage is in.

While I haven't seen any of the Tyler Perry movies/shows, they don't look good. It isn't enough to get me worked up though. There are better movies, and there are worse.

Even my great grandmother who lives in a very white and rural area of the North West and only gets local tv stations knows about Tyler Perry and she hates him.

They all seem like the same movie with over the top stereotypes! Maybe this one will be different, but in the past these characters just seem to show up a lot...1) fat, loud, overly opinionated matriarch, 2) the sister that had her heart broke by men and refuses to love again, 3) the no good brother who broke her heart and doesn't give a damn, 4) the brother that's gonna show her love no matter how much grief (or kids) she may have, and happens to look like a model from Ebony magazine, and 5) the wide eyed, naive, middle-class, white girl (or guy) that's just trying to fit in with the in your face black family (optional).

BTW- Perry needs to be like Clay & Lindsey and just admit to what we all already know... he's gay! He'll be happier and maybe he'll make a movie about that! At least it will have a different plot.

I happen to love every Tyler Perry movie and play that I have seen. I have purchased them for my collection. I love the realness of the movies. This is something happens all the time and it feels good to laugh at " youself". I admire Tyler for being himself. He may have some female tendencies, but he is not acting on them. He is at work and we are paying him. Please continue to do a good job and we will continue to go. I can't wait until this movie come out and Madea does her thang. I wish Madea could get at a few of you our there with your bad mouths. You should wash your mouths out with soap. He is working, he is not making a food out of himself like McCain. You go Tyler.
