Sep 9 2008TMNT to Follow the 'Alvin and the Chipmunks' Formula of Success
Shooting down rumors of another live-action Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie on the way, Peter Laird has revealed to MTV that the next chapter in the franchise will most likely be a CGI/live-action hybrid:
We have pretty much decided that the next “TMNT” movie should be what we’ve been calling a “hybrid” — that is to say, live-action humans and sets combined with very realistic CGI Turtles (and possibly some other CGI characters).
Meet the new Ninja Turtles:
"TURRRRRRRTLES!!!"
This is going to be really good.

Yeah, or maybe something like the Edward Norton Hulk flick that actually blend CGI with live action fairly well.

Yeesh. With Superman & The Hulk it's pretty much a given to just keep "re-booting" a series until it makes money, isn't it?
Fuck Hollywood. They're getting worse every year.

@#1
i'll give you lord of the rings, but still, the main characters there aren't cgi (except gollum), nor do they come from a timeless animated series, nor are they turtles.

Why the fuck can't we use creature suits anymore? CGI looks like CGI, and with the technology we have in the Creature-suit-puppet field, we can make shit that looks real. Because it IS real. Seriously. How many times have you seen a movie that would've been great, had it not been for the really shit CGI?
Fuck CGI.
Bring back realistic puppets.

Yoda was still way better as a puppet. And the ORIGINAL ninja turtles movie, with the turtles as guys in suits will always be better than any of their shitty remakes.

I LOVE BEING A TURTLE!!!!!
Dude this news is awesome! I just hope they make the turtles look very very real, and not cartoonish.
