Sep 10 2008'People Celebrating Christmas' Has a Trailer
It turns out some Hispanic families, like the African-American family last year, celebrate Christmas too! Here's the trailer to Nothing Like the Holidays, starring Alfred Molina, Debra Messing, Luis Guzman, the cast of Grindhouse, and, for some reason, not Edward James Almost:
In Nothing Like the Holidays, two of today’s most talented actors, John Leguizamo (The Happening, The Take) and Freddy Rodriguez (“Six Feet Under,” Bobby), join Debra Messing (“Will & Grace,” “The Starter Wife”), Alfred Molina (The Da Vinci Code, Spider-Man 2), and director Alfredo de Villa (the award-winning Washington Heights) to tell the humorous and heartwarming story of one unforgettable family holiday.
There's no way John Leguizamo and Freddy Rodriguez should be considered more talented than Alfred Molina, but anyway, here it is:
It actually doesn't look bad for the "family gathers for Christmas for comedic drama" genre. Do you think we'll get an Asian version next year?

They are not mexican (not even most of the actors) Its about an american family with a puertorican latino heritage. And, by the way, I dont see any questioning about Alfred Molina talent!!! They are talking about "today's" latino talent which means they are "rising latino stars" (i.e. young). Molina is already a well established mature actor with a vast career trajectory .
Thanks for this, anyway. I am really looking forward to this movie. Its one of a kind.

OK - I'll call out Molina's acting talent, then. Go and watch "Chocolat" again. Horrible accent that veered in and out, and just plain BAD acting all around. He's an _OK_ actor, and better than any of us, but putting him against other actors, he's just_OK_.

i agree molina is very talented.
sucks that he'll never top his work in 'Maverick' though. that movie made me think he was mexican for YEARS.

Damn, that's quite a burn in the press statement! "...two of today's most talented actors join" then list another couple of actors.

Dang, just discovered I have been confusing Luis Guzman with the actor that played Booger in "Revenge of The Nerds" for years.
This has caused problems when I watch a movie with Mr. Guzman, as when he makes his entrance, I shout "Booger!"
