Sep 16 2008Jeff Foxworthy Making the New 'Simpsons' but Full of NASCAR and My Anger
This is how an actual article in today's Variety began: "Fox has deemed Jeff Foxworthy Fox-worthy." Now that your soul has freely left your body, let's continue. Here's my new favorite show:
The net has extended its relationship with the comedian, greenlighting an animated pilot presentation from Foxworthy about a dysfunctional family set in the world of NASCAR.
Blue-collar comedy and NASCAR??? That's the thing that gives me the biggest laugh boner combined with the thing that gives me the biggest standard boner! Tell me I'll eventually be able to buy mudflaps bearing the images of the characters and I'm sold.

"Now that your soul has freely left your body," - that's some beautiful prose.
I'm not really one to hate but his dude sucks. Why is he famous and I'm not. Jeff Cox-worthy.

Will the characters be smarter than fifth graders? Will they have less teeth than fifth graders? Will they already be married as fifth graders? Will any of them make it to fifth grade?

A dysfunctional family set in the world of NASCAR with the guy that's whole bit was "You Might Be A REDNECK If..." attached to the project. The jokes just write themselves sometimes.
