Sep 15 2008Here's Some Imaginariums from 'Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus'
Here's a short preview for The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, showing some concept art and early digital work for the new Terry Gilliam film. Even amongst all of Gilliam's typically strange, fantastical designs, the weirdest part is where this implies Verne Troyer is an actual actor. Hasn't he been demoted to comic prop yet?

Uh, if something is "beyond imagination" then how'd he think it up, huh?
(All right, my geek-who's-seen-everything-he's-done side will make me see this too.)

Looks like Big Fish and Mirror mask had an acid enduced love child and this was the result.

Maybe his imagination is just a little better than yours.
The g-w-s-e-h-d in me will not make me see it--my actual desire to see it will.

So bitchennnn
great concept art, the movie better be that awsome looking
I don't really like Gilliam since his movies started to suck (and I don't like the living comic prop either) but I can't wait for this
I wanted to see what Johnny and the Irish dude looked like...

@#1- Drugs. Drugs are beyond imagination.
I adore Gilliam. He's just such a tragic, weird man.

That picture can't be new! That's Uma Thurman in Baron Munchausen.

#5 Yes, drugs are, but Gilliam has always said he hates drugs, and doesn't do them.
I can't wait to see Tom Waits play the devil. Great casting!!

The sketchy drawings and the late-night art school commercial animation may be new...but all the clips, even the ones supposedly of this new film, are taken from his old films.
#6 Nick is right: that was Uma Thurman in the dead-air Munchausen movie, the one that nearly destroyed Columbia Pictures.

Looks gorgeous....can't wait :D Ah, Terry Gilliam...tragic the number of films he's had problems with. I'm glad he could make this one work. (Rumour has it he's going to try for Don Quixote again after, also...)

"It's humorous, it's tragic, it's beautiful, it's romantic. It's all these elements because that is what imagination is all about."
I don't know why, but I absolutely loved that quote.

Heath Ledger! That's awesome, and this movie looks like it will be good...
Also, anyone else notice the Millions music?

This was the movie Heath was doing before he died and Colin, Depp and Jude Law all stepped in to take his place. I think they were also donating their salaries to Heath's daughter.

TErry Gilliam's movies are always a journey thru imagination and he ,is an history and literature lover.
It is amazing how much he could embellish the scenes.
His movies are in my opinion JEWELS .
BMunchaussen could maybe not be the best in USA
Here in Argentina, he is are very appreciated .
Fisher KIng, Twelve monkeys! (the only one movie where Brad Pitt really shows) Brazil,M
Grimms Bothers, ..
Always amazing photography, stages, and great actors
I can wait to see this one.
