Aug 26 2008'Watchmen' Covers Reveal Rorschach is Wearing a Sofa
Superhero Hype has some scans from a Brazilian magazine that ran mugshot-style covers of Watchmen characters. I'm pretty sure Rorschach's costume is made of microsuede and a golf towel, but otherwise things are still looking good.

Um, America's own Entertainment Weekly ran a cover with all these same shots a few weeks back.

Damn I hate that they wont show his coat filled with blood on one side like in the books.

WTF, his mask is a fluid cloth, its fluid that wont mix trapped between two membranes, thats why its always changing. this looks like an old sharpie drawn on there. They shoulda CGI'ed it so it would change and shit.
WOW I just totally 100% geeked out there.

Let's just hope they get Dr. Manhattans sack right

Isn't his mask made out of a dress?

Where is the Comedian's massive face scar?
8. Rod - August 26, 2008 2:46 PM
The Comedian looks too young in that pic to have the scar. Since he doesn't have a scar, and that's his post-Watchmen costume, I'm guessing that's a shot of him during the Vietnam war.

@ Stuey, Let me help you geek out even more... in the book (GN) the mask (previously a dress) is made out of Latex. Yes! Latex... So we are to believe this guy wraps non-breathable latex around his face. Not only can he see perfectly, but he doesnt pass out due to a complete lack of oxygen. Truely a real super-hero. So, I think they took that into consideration and did some re-modeling. Lastly, they did CGI the mask, it does move like a lava-lamp through the course of the film. You can see it moving in a couple sequences in the trailer(s).

Now, I get the whole ink-blot test thingy, and that's why the butt stain things are black (as in the ink) but wouldn't be more artistic if it were blood stains?
they already have a bloody happy face

No Nite Owl shots? I've always had a crush on Dan Dreiberg*... and one on Patrick Wilson, too...
* Fuck anyone who guffawed at this! Go beat off to your Psylocke posters.

@11: You're not alone. Who wouldn't have a crush on the one non-psychotic/non-elderly character?
Nom nom nom Patrick WIlson nom nom nom. Case closed.

@10 The bloody happy face is a part of the story, it's a device, not a bloody happy face just for the sake of it. If you havnt read the book it's like $10.00 on amazon and worth the read.
