Aug 15 2008'Dragonball' is Looking Good (If You Use a Loose Definition of Good)

I admit was a naysayer for a while, but these latest shots from Dragonball have really got me reconsidering this live-action adaptation. Mostly because I consider palpable desperation and pleading, vacant eyes that will forever haunt you, waking you from your nightly slumber with their anguished cry of "what have I done?" to be a positive in a film.

so sad, my childhood destroyed right in front of my eyes

Seems as though every time they make a move about these kinds of cartoons into live action films, they never work out

If only Sam Elliot were in this flick. It could be the worst pile of dogshit on earth, and his raspy heartwarming voice could still make it worth watching. Maybe even twice.

See, I thought the entire purpose of Goku was to add levity to the series. The guy never stops smiling! This Goku in the movie is just pure angst. I guess the only thing the movie'll have in common with the manga is that dragonballs are involved. and a green dude.

That picture is just *begging* the caption, 'Justin Chatwin demands an explanation for this bullshit' :p Also, why is he sort of looking off camera...

straight to DVD

@ Victor

Speaking of green dudes...I'd strongly suggest they start promoting Piccolo pretty damn quick here. At least we know Marsters can act. :p

He seriously looks like Elijah Wood's clone here.

I don't get why they're making this years after the show's popularity in the US started to pretty much die away.

protest....
Vito....
please don't do this

WTF whit the directors and productors!!!!
they have no mercy with my favorite anime

goku is a joke
this film sucks
and they'll go to the hell for this...
