Aug 13 2008Don't Let This 'Fireproof' Poster Get 'Left Behind'! (WINK!)

Does Kirk Cameron always have to be the lone voice of reason in this doomed society of ours? In short, yes. He was the only one willing to speak up and tell us bananas prove the existence of (the Christian) God. (Nice try hiding that one from us, scientists.) Now he's the only one daring enough to testify to the logic of not abandoning your spouse and letting them burn alive in a raging inferno. Moreover, you should bring flowers when pulling them from the flaming wreckage, because chivalry's not dead, y'all.

(Christian) God bless you, Kirk Cameron.

when I first seen this trailer I thought it looked pretty good...until all the god stuff came in to play. I'm not the religious type so thats probably why. But up until it got all "pray" I thought it looked interesting.

I love "From the creators of Facing The Giants". Uh, whaaa? This is a selling point?

From the makers of the Banana....FIREPROOF

Is Ray Comfort in it? If not, who's gonna make Kirk Cameron's mouth move?

I will ONLY see this if Eric Roberts is in it. He's the benchmark of which I judge all good movies.

What does this movie have to do with "FACING" and "GIANTS"?
Giant, fireproof faces?

Hollywood, what are you thinking?

Um...wow. I'd never seen that banana thing. I'd like him to apply that theory to the Pineapple.

We're all laughing at Kirk while he's cashing his gi-normous checks endorsed by Jesus himself!

The Christians are so starved for decent entertainment that they'll bite at anything that Hollywood kid from Growing Pains produces. If God can reach Kirk inside the den of sin that is Hollywood then he can reach anyone! I'm surprised that more C-list celebrities don't tap into the vast wallets of Christians. All they gotta do is act like they found religion, and they'll be seen in every Sunday school and entire churches would be rented out to watch their movies. It's better than the direct to DVD market.

its really the wedding rings as the "o"s that gets me. because the connection between marriage, employment as a fireman, and born-again christianity is not explored enough. though the flowers on the way to the fire is pretty classy. i think everything about it just screams commitment=hell.

Christians are creepy.

Maybe you haven't met the right sort of Christians?

What "Fireproof" has to do with "Facing the Giants" is that they were both created and financed by Sherwood Baptist Church, here in Albany, GA. And of course "God" stuff is going to come into play. It's a freaking southern baptist movie.
