Sorry for delays today. I had to get past some trojan cookie wyrms that were disrupting The Superhighway. Anyway, here's the trailer to Appaloosa, starring Viggo Mortensen and Ed Harris as old west guys. No further explanation is really needed. Just think of things old west guys do in movies, and that's what happens here.

I don't have a problem seeing Ed Harris kick some boot scootin' ass, but they did the "you die first" thing in "Open Range" which was a pretty nice gun fight. I just hope this is more than a "go kill the bad guys" western, even though that's all a western is. It just needs to be more than the typical "these are the bad guys, just take our word for it." 3:10 to Yuma sucked.

Jeremy Irons as a cowboy? All those guns and not a single one pointed at Renee Zellweger?

I'll stick with Deadwood, thanks.

Viggo Mortensen and Ed Harris have worked together recently in History of Violence and later Viggo did another movie about the maffia or something similar and I liked both. I could have sworn by the style of directing that these are all the same director and if so, I won't mind seeing this. The other two movies were good and this looks the same.

O and 3:10 to Yuma did suck, but only to those with no taste or who lack the ability to view good films. Don't feel bad Jeremy, a lot of people fall into those groups.

3:10 To Yuma was a western for people with ADD.

Zeathy, let me rephrase it. In my opinion, 3:10 to Yuma sucked. If you rephrase your statement, it's "in my opinion, you have no taste and are stupid." I don't see how that's fair. Now we're going to have to fist fight.

I guess Ed Harris always wanted to do a western. Well by golly, if you want something done right, you just gotta do it yourself.

I agree with Mr. Mason! Renee Zellweger makes my eyes bleed! I hope she gets run down by a stampeed of cattle in the begining of the movie!
One of my all time favorite westerns: Tombstone

@ 3 - you r-tard, History of Violence and Eastern Promises (about the Russian mob, not the fucking mafia) WERE by the same guy - David Cronenberg. This, however, is directed by Ed Harris. Oh, the magic of IMDB!!
I would also throw my hat in the "3:10 to Yuma sucked balls" ring. I am a big fan of Christian Bale and Russell Crowe (mostly Christian Bale, though), but man, that movie was just really, all-around not good. I guess it's considered impressively deep fare for dumbasses who swear they have excellent taste in movies but don't know who David Cronenerg is.

I wonder will they Appaloosa at Lollapalooza?

@8 I did not check IMDB like you, as I said, it was a guess from how the films seemed. Apparently I did a decent job as guessing.

I never said the movie was deep, I just said it was good. You seem high on yourself if you think everyone else is out to pretend they have some sort of brilliance that only you have a true grasp of.

As for not knowing a directors name, that is irrelivant to how good a movie is.
"OMG THIS IS DIRECTED BY -------, IT MUST BE GOOD"! Sorry troll, go play some World of Warcraft or masturbate, whatever your kind do all day.

@ 10 (oh yes, I'm continuing this pointlessness even though no one will see this) -
You accuse me of pretending to have some sort of brilliance that only I have? How about you telling someone else "3:10 to Yuma did suck, but only to those with no taste or who lack the ability to view good films"? Yes, you're a movie genius because you liked a mediocre piece of crap film. That movie was awful, so fuck you.

Also, I never said because David Cronenberg directs a movie, it has to be good. I was suggesting that basic knowledge of movies, including directors like David Cronenberg who have made substantial contributions to cinema, is essential to having good taste in films. "I knows what I likes when I see it" suggests a very pedantic attitude towards movies, so you lecturing others on "lacking the ability to view good films" is ludicrous. Yes, you're brilliant and when we don't agree with you, we're the ones who are dumb, right? Fucking idiot.

I like Viggo Mortenson. And Ed Harris. And Jeremy Irons. The idea of seeing them in a western together seems kinda cool...

Not Renee Zelwegger though - I hope she dies painfully.
